What Does Judgement Mean?

What Does Judgement Mean?
What does “Judgement” mean, when God says …
“For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God,” 1 Peter 4:17.
So many times we are ready to declare things on behalf of God which He Himself never said! A dangerous position to be in!
Many are ready to denounce, to slay and to slaughter in the Name of The LORD, when The Holy Spirit is not out to war at all!
The word judgement used in this verse means –
“the process of judgment (of evaluating) leading to a decision.”
It means that The Holy Spirit says that a time is beginning wherein God will be a doing an inspection of His house, which of course means that He will inspect our own personal lives and where we are positioned towards Him in our relationship with Him will determine His decisions that will subsequently follow regarding ourselves.
Is it serious — yes of course it is! It is very serious for those who will be found wanting!
Here is the difference however — judgement has not been passed!
God is not coming to pour His a wrath out upon us.
He is coming to evaluate. He is coming to weigh and once He has proven each one — then judgement will be passed for both the obedient as well as those who have not obeyed.
I personally believe that a period of an outpouring of The Holy Spirit precedes the final judgement passed by God.
It is “not His will that any should perish”, but that all His Spirit convicts will come to salvation. He is merciful and long suffering, and “Mercy triumphs over judgment.”
It then greatly depends upon us to receive Him at His time where He is granting us an opportunity to be drawn, to be restored and to repent.
The Spiritual Wilderness Settler
If you are hoping for an old fire to be rekindled in a present move of The Holy Spirit, then you are a spiritual wilderness settler, not a spiritual visionary!
God’s Cloud and Fire is ever moving, not to return us to what we have already experienced, but to pioneer us into that which we desperately need to bring us into maturity, and that we need to perfect our faith!
How many times have that which comes as a new move of the Spirit been sacrificed on the altars of holding onto what has been settled and accepted to be religious traditions, only later to discover that “ye have crucified the Prince of peace?”
Let us pack our spiritual tents and be found ready and willing in The LORD’s day of Power to move with the Cloud, even when it moves us into realms previously unknown or explored.
