What About the True Gospel?
Anyone want it anymore? Is everything just going to be preached, smooth sailing and flowery anymore?
Good morning.
What about believing God for a new Cadillac, kind of message? Surely not all, but it seems a lot of the American Gospel is preached this way today.
Just listen to this song we used to sing, written by Isaac Watts.
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19.
We need to look to our God above for answers!
( Some of the scriptures will be at the end. Don’t forget to read. Take the time. know how busy we all are, but the Word needs to be applied, line upon line precept upon precept. )
We just can’t make God our ‘sugar daddy’!
Know also we don’t need to throw away the scriptures where we surely are to Prosper in The LORD, either.
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” 3 John 1:2-4.
It is All important to put the Word together right. Some are rich in this world, and God gave them riches. That is fine, just don’t make a God out of money. If you have money, use it wisely. Be a good Steward of all The LORD gives you.
What I am saying is we need balance in all things. It’s not that the ‘prosperity gospel’ didn’t start out right and have some merit.
Could it be Christians have just taken it too far? Shame on us and some of the preachers!
This Country has become too spoilt and lax! The LORD is bringing our hearts back.
Just look at us, we are in the most desperate shape as a Nation today!
No one knows who or what to believe anymore, in the media, even our pulpits or the Prophetic circles!
Just know if you keep ‘sugar coating’ the gospel it will make you sick. Too much sugar even in the natural body will make us sick. Preach love surely, we must.
Still Love has a corrected edge to it at times when needed.
That Sword of The LORD will cut both ways. We need to correct, rebuke and instruct in ‘love’ surely or we have missed the mark. We just have to properly line up everything with the Word of God.
Let’s always take our petitions to our Heavenly Father.
“Rejoice in The LORD always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The LORD is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and mind.” Philippians 4:4-7.
“And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.” Hebrews 11:36-40.
“But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.” 1 Timothy 6:6-9.
“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5.
God bless you all.
