What About Being a True Friend?
Friends are most important!
We know we are to always treat them kindly and right.
“Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” Proverbs 27:6
Good morning.
Here is a song today speaking to us about lifting our friend up in prayer.
The Holy Spirit inspired writers in the Bible address friends many different places.
This today is only scratching the surface, I realize.
We can find no greater love than a friend willing to die for us.
Still is there perhaps even a deeper meaning perhaps herein the scriptures below?
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” John 15:13-15
We can lay down our lives by giving our friends all we got, our very best!
We can take them to The LORD in prayer, never giving up on them!
Now on another note, think about how Abraham was called the friend of God.
We can be called His friend also!
“And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.” James 2:23
We see here to have a friend, we must be friendly.
“A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24
A friend never quits loving you at any time!
“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” Proverbs. 17:17
Love them deeply and be a faithful friend till the very end.
Many call themselves a friend but will betray you.
Still that is maybe for another day to write about.
Let’s choose our friends wisely but be that true friend.
God bless you all.

Blessings my sweet sister, Wong. May we all climb to New heights in Jesus Christ together!
Thank you Joyce. My husband passed away in October. I never realized how much my friends and family loved and cared for me until then. And now realize that not only was my husband also was my best friend too. Takes a loss and coming to ones knees to to realize just how precious and real Jesus is, the many ways he provides for us, He’s here though I don’t see Him, He’s here.
You really touched my heart with your comment, Carole. I will be praying for you in your loss. I and many of us have went through similar losses. Friends are precious. We see who really stands with us in these times. A true friend surely will. Hugs and orayers.
Amen
Blessings my sweet sister, Wong. May we all climb to New heights in Jesus Christ together!
