We’ve become so digitalized
We’ve become such a digitalized world, that I wonder if many of us have lost touch with the human touch.
I-phone, I-pod, I-pad, I can do all these things without “eye contact.” Our world is so computerized —- we go about our daily lives on-line, making sure that we are keeping up with our friend requests and responses.
What is your birth color, your native animal, and your personality trait? I’m surprised we haven’t come-up with, ‘What is your favorite Jesus?’
We go out to eat and instead of talking we’re texting. What’s happened to our human contact? We read in John 1 that the word became flesh and dwelt among us. He came in the flesh and walked among us, and yet we are walking among many today, and we probably can’t even see them because we’re too busy in our computer-generated world.
We’ve lost touch with one another. Do we even know what’s going on in our own families? There’s an app for just about everything on many of the smart phones today. But there isn’t an application to help create human contact.
Will my world online forget that I am alive? Maybe when we continue to touch the screen it will touch us back and let us know that we are alive. We’re connected online, but we’re disconnected in real life. We’re distracted from what’s really important by constantly feeling the need to check our messages or an update, or this, or that.
Maybe we’ve taken the blue pill instead of the red one. Maybe we’ve entered into the matrix without even knowing that we did.
Maybe the technology will become advanced enough to make us human again.
Unfortunately, we’ve given our allegiance to the god of machinery. But it’s not too late, we can still communicate with each other in the ancient art of actually “talking.” It’s not archaic yet; it still has relevance to us today.
“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased” Daniel 12:4.
~ Stephen Hanson
Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the Lord is a special way in 1975 and has been prophesying regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are to be reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
