We Must Suite up Daily with our Armor Fully On
There is a variety of subjects I wish to talk about today.
Good morning.
To begin, the Word of God says for Christians to put on the Whole Armor of God!
There are some fierce principalities and powers operating in the evil realm.
( These scriptures pertaining from Ephesians are at the very end. )
So there is warfare and fighting we still must do daily.
Still the battle has already been won on Calvary by the finished work of Jesus Christ!
“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:15
Yet, we fight from a place of Victory, as we often say.
At times we are even told stand still and not fight.
“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.” 2 Chronicles 20:17
A confusing command maybe from our Lord?
Absolutely not but we must rightly divide the Word of Truth.
We see our weapons are not carnal, don’t we?
Just as David armed himself with his own armor, so must we wear our own.
He couldn’t wear King Saul’s!
“And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him. And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:39-40
Recapping here:
#1 Every day as you wake up, put on your Armor.
We need the armor of truth; righteousness; gospel of peace; faith; salvation and the Word of God; praying; and watching.
#2 Guard your heart
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23
#3 Walk by and in faith.
“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:” 2 Corinthians 5:7
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews11:6
I will share an excerpt here about guarding our hearts and then the link.
“How do you guard your heart — and still at the same time not put a wall up so many of us can be guilty of with people?
We know that ‘wall’ we can erect will keep people out. That should never be our intention. That is not what The LORD meant about guarding our hearts. Still it is easy to go to that extreme if we are not very careful !!
So we must delve into this subject just a little bit. In Proverbs 4:23: it says: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
“Keep healthy boundaries” is what I am hearing The Spirit of The LORD speak”….
Now on to some links on faith, with first an excerpt:
“Faith will surely produce patience in us if we allow it to. We see here where James teaches us:
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:2-4
I hope to encourage you one and all.
Dig deep with the Lord and we will make it if we do!
God bless you all
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” Ephesians 6:11-18
“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.” Exodus 14:13
