This Word is in response to a message I received earlier today.

There is, in The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, nationalistic pride that all four nations have in abundance.

This is mainly historic and partly cultural, in that all four have their own unique quirks, foibles, and traditions. But historically, it’s very deeply bred into the national psyche.

Now, in the coming season, there is going to be a breaking of one or two old barriers everywhere, but in particular I sense it in Wales, because uniquely, Wales has a penchant for two specific barriers to Revival and to Unity that just don’t seem to exist elsewhere — they may exist — but I have neither experienced it nor have I even read about it!

Many in the Welsh Church regard themselves and their role as being “Guardians of Revival”.

This sad attitude dates back to the days of the Great Welsh Revival of 1904-1906 under Evan Roberts.

Unfortunately, this attitude seems to think that they are the only ones who can steward or even receive/‘approve’ Revival in Wales.

A direct result of this “Guardianship attitude,” is the belief that only “First Nation” people, i.e. those of Welsh heritage, can carry spiritual authority in Wales.

I have actually experienced both of these a few times and I have heard of others who have also experienced them.

I feel that these attitudes break God’s heart, inhibit The Holy Spirit, and are preventing Revival from returning to His beloved Wales.

I also understand, by Revelation of The Holy Spirit, that there will be a breaking of the “Guardians of Revival” mentality, and a breaking of the national pride and ‘ownership’ of spiritual authority that goes with it.

Until this happens — the breaking of Guardianship and of Pride/ Authority — there will be little or no Revival in Wales.

But where this does happen, then great Revival will come — and come quickly — and the valleys will sing again and be a magnet to the unsaved throughout the land.

This is what I currently see for Wales.
