“What is it that you see in the world around you?

Do you see the beauty — or do you see the decay?

What are the sounds that you hear?

Are they the sounds of sorrow or happiness?

I tell you that you can see both and hear both.

Does a bird sing songs of happiness or joy?

Or are they sounds of impending fear?

Does a fire come when people are unprepared for it?

The ocean waves are calm but also furious. Even nature knows of these sounds around them, and yet many of you are dull to them.

It is time to wake up from your slumber.

It is time to know of the times you are living in.

Therefore I say: “Wake up oh sleeper!”

Wake-up to the sounds that are all around you. For the hour is close to midnight. The events are being played out all around you, and yet many of you are blind and deaf to them.”
