Waiting Upon God?
When we wait, rest, lean into and upon the LORD, we find ourselves looking to Him to help for some specific and at times absolutely seemingly impossible need.
There is a conscious “expectation” that He will help us out in that special need!
We don’t have control over the circumstances and so, we are looking to His provision, His protection or for direction.
In each situation it’s so good and necessary to acknowledge before Him our special and unique needs, recognizing that He CAN help us in that area!
And then, we place our hope in Him. Place it right in His hands.
Waiting upon God is not only biblical but a necessary part of the Christian life for the maturing and growing Christian.
“Wait for” is an active display of faith/ trust in God during impossible situations! We all have ‘em!
When God says something to you through either the written word or the spoken word, trust Him absolutely with all of your heart.
He is capable of keeping His Word! He never ever forget His Promises! The LORD has promised that He will always make away for us.
In Isaiah it says,
“LOOK!! Loooooook! I WILL do a new thing! A NEW thing! RIGHT NOW! ( Even if you can’t see it just yet) … it will spring forward!
Shouldn’t you about know it?
I will even make a road in your wilderness and I will make rivers in your desert,” (Isaiah 43:19).
Dear believer! Dear reader!
Listen up! Remember this!
God’s greatest demonstration of power is reserved or saved for moments when all human efforts fail!
He waits for us to exhaust all of our fleshy efforts to solve things our way!
He lovingly and patiently waits for us to surrender to him, to surrender all of our hopes, “fascinating” ideas ( often called schemes)… And to finally lean completely towards his direction!
To lean towards his instruction and follow through on that.
That is when He takes over!
Still trying to figure it out on your own?
Still stressed out?
Still pressing ahead with all of your personal skills and thinking abilities?
How about you step back and take a breath and follow that deep internal knowing that says you need help?
Perhaps you need to see that counselor, perhaps you need to see that pastor to set things right spiritually.
Perhaps you need to do nothing! … (and let others pick up things that need to be done)!
Take a moment now and ask the LORD to help you to not step out again in the way you do things all the time and to change the habit of running ahead of God or worrying that God will not take care of you.
Perhaps this is the NEW THING SPRINGING UP that he is doing in and for you!
