We’re sitting at home, awaiting a phone call from the States, but it’s still an hour or more away and I’m ‘lifted’ into an open Vision.

I see the Israelites on their desert meanderings — about two million people with all their detritus, plus herds of cattle, flocks of sheep, goats by the thousands — a lot of mess moving very slowly around the wilderness.

I see the unmistakable signs of huge numbers of people having been ‘camping’ and the mess they leave in their wake as they move on yet again.

Another day, another new place — a daily grind to find water and food for themselves and for the flocks and herds of animals. It’s not a pretty sight!

I inquired of The LORD, “What am I watching here LORD — and why? What are you showing me?”

Suddenly the Vision changes — fast forward a few thousand years. The crowds are much smaller, but the people still seem to be lost and wandering aimlessly around.

I suddenly get an overwhelming feeling that I’m watching The Church of today — wandering listlessly around in circles in a desert, but in a city landscape — unsure which way to turn next — unsure of their ability to sustain themselves — unsure of their reason even for existence.

Little faith, little presence, arguing among themselves, continuously arguing, no authority but every aspect of life dictated by their circumstances. Altogether, a very sad and sorry vision of the modern- day Church!

“Is this what we’ve come to, LORD?” I asked, “Is this what you died for? This surely cannot be your Bride?”

“This is where many, too many of My People are headed. This is the ‘Hell on earth’ where their Faith, or rather their lack of Faith, has directed them.

Many have already lost Hope, and many more are clinging desperately to a dying Hope. So many of My People have been so poorly led, and so badly taught, poorly shepherded that in their confusion, they have surrendered all the Authority I gave them.

They are mostly as lost as the world!”

“Yet there is Redemption and Hope!” says The LORD. “There is an Awakening coming that will lead to a new ‘Golden Age’ for many in The Church.

I have kept a company of saints, who have kept their Faith; they have kept their Authority, and they have stood, and having done all, they have remained standing.

From this small band, I AM sending My Reapers into the fields — that are the various Denominations — to find and harvest this ‘Remnant Army’ you speak so much of, in order to provide a vanguard from ALL Denominations who will lead My Church, a true Bible-believing Church, into Awakening, Renewal, and Revival!”

The LORD continued, “As with My Prophets in the days of Elijah, when the company of prophets hid in caves, I have a hidden Remnant in almost every Denomination.

Those who have a relationship with Me, and who have clung on to their faith through thick and thin times.

They will not all believe everything the same as you do, but receive them as your brothers and sisters in The LORD, for they are acceptable to Me and I AM consecrating them exactly as I have consecrated you — they are mine, they are Blood-bought and sanctified as you are.

I will have unity in My Bride — I will accept nothing less!” says The LORD.

I felt The LORD’s Heart on this, His Passion for the lost, and His Compassion.

I felt moved by His heart and I silently wept His tears with Him. This Remnant Church must have unity as did the first Church.

They must have passion for the least and the lost, and they must have compassion for all. Does your heart line up with this? If not, then may I suggest you repent and ask The LORD to give you His heart for His people everywhere?

Make this Prayer your own:

“Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your Salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit, (Psalm 51:9-12).
