Verbal Abuse and Unity in the Body of Christ
The Lord dealt with me again about unity in the Body of Christ. He has given me several ways that we as born again believers are causing the division.
The Lord began to say to me that some things which we are going through are because we are reaping what we have sown, or it’s an attack by Satan. Today, let’s reflect over our lives and see if some thing’s we may be going through are because we have done these same things to someone in our past.
One thing The Lord dealt with me about is the VERBAL ABUSE among the saints and how it is so easy to be used by the enemy if you don’t watch what you allow yourself to hear. One thing He told me, was to never become a pawn in someone else’s game. In this hour we must be careful that we are not being drafted to play a part in the downfall, the persecution, the hindrance of someone’s life through the hand of another person, because of the words they have spoken out their own mouth!
There is so much deceit undermining and undercutting in the body of Christ. The hidden motives, the hidden agendas, the jealousies are at mass proportions in this hour. With so much corruption in the world, chaos and threats of death, how do we as Christians, who are suppose to be walking in love, have time to destroy each other?
There is too much evil to war against to be warring against persons who are suppose to be on the same team! We are turning our weapons upon each other and killing the ones called to battle with us. It Is sad when we can’t get along and go out of our way to bring each other down.
God is not please with us when we bite and devour each other and He is especially displeased when we allow the world to see us walking in discord and attacking each other. We abuse each other with our mouths.
Words can sometimes damage a person for life, or destroy a reputation, or discredit someone’s integrity and credibility. Sometimes, trying to recover from the damaging effects of words can take years, or in some cases, the words become a lifelong battle. We must be careful that our tongues do not become murder weapons as we shoot down people and then proclaim self defense, because of our own hurts and pains which caused us to pull the trigger in the first place.
Today we need to be taking a more stronger and firmer stand in watching what words are allowed to come into our ear-gates. We need to purpose, to guard our ears at all costs, so we don’t entertain words of destruction or negativity.
Our tongues should be used to edify, encourage and built up. The only time they should be used as weapons of destruction are when we are destroying Satan and his kingdom of darkness. The older saints taught us to watch what words came out our mouths because we may have to eat those same words one day.
From this day, we should all practice thinking before we speak, because what you say may cause someone a lifetime of pain!!
NOTE: I have been on both sides during my lifetime. I have been the abuser, where I used my tongue to lash out at a person and I have also been abused by someone using their tongue to lash out at me. So I know the effects both of these situations can cause and in both cases, remember, you will have to reap!! So there are hard times I have to go through because I know what I did to another, and also it has taught me character, integrity, and to have compassion for another party. It’s a leadership builder for sure, because it teaches you what to do and what not to do!!!

THERE WERE 12 DISCIPLES…1 JESUS…12 DISCIPLES, 1 JESUS.
THE GOSPELS ALL TELL THE SAME STORY FROM DIFFERENT VANTAGE POINTS, BUT THEIR IS SYNCHRONICITY……
WE ARE DIFFERENT BUT THERE IS ONE JESUS….THIS IS THE HARDEST PART OF CHURCH….THE FIGHTING!!!! MEANWHILE SATAN.
Galatians 5:13-15 (NKJV)
13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!
