Oh Jesus help us!

The religious spirit is a very great barrier to revival. Many have been consumed by this spirit but they don’t know it.

This includes many teachers of the Word that have caused masses to believe in lies.

They teach doctrines that are based on culture and tradition and that convince people of how much they carry solutions to their problems, yet in actual sense they are are dry and unfit to teach.

As a matter of fact – their doctrinal teachings never translate into solutions, but to a cycle of monthly or yearly repetitions and a dependency on the man teaching more than on Jesus Christ.

We call this bondage people of God and there can never be any freedom obtained from such.

My Prayer Today:

Oh LORD open the eyes of all your people to see you as you are and please Abba Father, break the chains of religion from your Church so that we can serve you in truth and in Spirit.

Lead us back to your heart and deliver us from the path of darkness in Jesus Christ name.

For Your Information:

The religious spirit is not limited to sects or denominations but to the attitude of the mind. The religious spirit manifests itself through doctrines taught, practises (like fasting, dressing styles, prayer rituals and order of services) and even words spoken.

It is a condemning, critical (judgmental) and self righteous spirit.

It sees itself as better than and acts like it knows everything about God.

It focuses on the outward yet causes the victim to slowly begin to rot in the inside which can be easily detected through the words that come out of the mouth of the person it holds captive.

I can say many things about it but this space is not enough.

The Church needs to fight this spirit which is strengthened by the Jezebel spirit, (Revelation 2) so that we can truly see a great move of God.

We are crying for the move, but yet stopping it with our attitudes which do not allow us to search our hearts but instead search the hearts of other people.

Oh LORD have mercy on us and deliver us!
