Understanding Jesus and Your Life
Sometimes the disciples did not understand Jesus.
In John 2:20, they were again confused as the verse says:
“They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?””
We often snicker at the disciples and think, “How could they not understand again?” But the same thing happens to us. Many times Jesus speaks to us, and we do not get it. We are lost.
Jesus wants His people to have understanding. He wants them to be on the same page as Him.
He does not want people to live their own way, but His Way.
For those who have their own desires and goals, yet ask, “What does God want me to do?”
May need to revisit their desires and goals.
When people live their own way, things do not make sense. They get confused — just like the disciples.
When you begin to think more like Christ and live more like Him, you will understand more.
You will understand things like:
- Who God is…
- What He desires…
- How He wants you to live…
- What you should do with you life…
- Your identity…
- How to evangelize…
- And more….
Jesus wants all of His people to get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7 says:
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.”
Not only does Jesus want you to get understanding, but He is more than willingly to give it to you. However, you cannot live your own way and think Jesus will bless you with a large amount of understanding.
You can get more understanding by asking Jesus for it, but more than that, by laying down your life and coming to Jesus.
Understanding will change your life because you will see things clearly. It will help you make choices and live in peace daily. Good things come to those who have great understanding.
The Holy Spirit, with patience and clarity, says:
“My People, it is not hard. I want you to live for Me.
This does not mean it has to be difficult and a pain to give everything up.
I want you to drop one thing in your life that is not of Me and replace it with Me. Do one thing at a time or otherwise you may get discouraged and give up all together.
Keep coming to Me and living and believing the way I want you to and great things will happen.
Remember, I love to reward you and I love when you grow in your faith.
Many blessings have come and many more blessings are on there way.
I Love you all and I can’t wait to see how you grow in your faith and how you spend time with Me.
I Love you with all of My heart.
You are My People and I will never forsake you.”
