Two People Your Destiny Needs to Succeed!
How confident do you feel when it comes to the journey to pursue your destiny?
I have found that most people already have what they need to either get started or take the next step in their destiny. They just need encouragement, support or directions to move forward.
There are two types of people who can help you reach your destiny!
Find an accountability partner
You may need some outside help to keep you motivated in your journey. After all, we all need people who join hands with us and encourage us in our destiny.
Accountability partners are a popular idea but have often been misunderstood as people we merely confess our wrongs to. But what should an accountability partner actually be responsible for?
Accountability is made up of two words: account + ability.
An accountability partner is a peer who takes an account — makes a record — of your ability and helps hold you to it!
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up,” Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 NIV.
This means an accountability partner is more than just a friend you share your struggles with. It is someone you can trust to help you stick to a plan of action, isn’t afraid to ask you if you’re really giving it your all and can help you get up if you fall!
Consider finding a mentor
While an accountability partner is more of a likeminded peer, a mentor is someone who — while also keeping you accountable — can show you how to go farther than your current understanding.
A mentor should be a few steps ahead of you in maturity and action so they can show you the way to new heights and levels of your destiny!
As the Apostle Paul said:
“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ,” 1 Corinthians 11:1 NIV.
The author of Hebrews encourages us to:
“Remember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith,” Hebrews 13:7 NIV.
A 3-strand cord is not easily broken
Having an accountability partner and a mentor can create a 3-strand cord that is not easily broken!
“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken,” Ecclesiastes 4:12 NIV.
All your life, God has been leaving you clues about your uniqueness. Finding accountability partner(s) and/or a mentor may be the next step to positioning yourself for your destiny.
“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed,” Proverbs 15:22 NIV.
It’s time to awaken to unlimited possibilities!
Blessings,
