Two Men…
There is really no way to really tell for sure unless you stay around long enough to see the fruit of the life that stands before you who are and who are not His. Even then, it is not your place to make that determination. Jesus was talking about the Kingdom of Heaven in parables when he described the Wheat and the Tares, how they were different. In a certain field, Jesus said, the farmer planted seed. He had bought good clean seed and he knew it was, but somehow there was some plants that came up that were not real wheat. Well, He explained that the bad seeds had been with the other seeds at the planting but that the enemy had come in the night and had planted his seed very carefully among the good seeds.
They looked like wheat for sure but if the farmer got down on his hands and knees and studied hard in the plant there might be a slight difference. It would take someone for sure that really was knowledgeable of plants to tell for sure. This brought about the reason that Jesus said to not try to make that determination yourself but to let them grow together until the harvest except you make a mistake and cut up a wheat thinking it was a tare. Jesus said, I will make the separation when I send forth the Angels to make the final separation in the end when I come.
In Matthew 24 Jesus said that there would be coming a day that there will be a separation. He said that: “At that time two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the hand mill; one will be taken and one will be left.” (Matthew 24:40-41)
Now wouldn’t it be a huge surprise to be walking with a brother and working together in the field only to find he came up missing right before your eyes. It would really be a shocker for sure. One minute he was there, the next minute he was gone. Well who took him away? The fact is ONE WAS NOT REAL like the other one. T he one left was a lost man, but he was working right beside the saved man who was taken when Jesus came for him. Well who would have ever guessed?
The First two men were wheat and tares.
The second two men were saved and lost farmers.
But there are some others.
The third two men were seen in John 3. One was Jesus and the other Nicodemus. Now we know who Jesus was but this man Nicodemus we have only heard that he was a Religious man. You see, that is the way it is today . One man knows the Father, the other does not. But who would have known except the Son of God who knows all men. Jesus said Nicodemus had to be born again when he thought he was a child of God for sure. Well wasn’t he a religious leader and even a Pharisee? Who would have ever thought such a thing. He came to see Jesus because he knew he was a Teacher sent from God. Yet the man Nicodemus was really a Lost man???
The Forth two men were Peter and Cornelius. Now we know who Peter was for sure because Jesus had called him from fishing to be an Apostle. The second man we only read about as being a good man who loved God, PRAYED, and gave alms and did many good deeds. He was surely a great community man whom every one loved, Yet, Peter said to him things he did not know AND SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. He did not know how to be saved. He was going around trying his best to be pleasing to God. When Peter preached unto him Jesus, the religious Cornelius got saved and filled with the Holy Spirit and talked in tongues. (Oh pardon me, did I upset you?)
There is a Fifth two men known as Saul and Paul. Oh someone said, they were the same. Yes I know that, but GOD CHANGED HIS NAME. You see God knew that Saul was wrong and he was really not a righteous man so he stopped him from doing his so called righteous duty in the middle of the road going down to Damascus. After the Lord did save Saul and CHANGE HIM, than he became the second man, his name became PAUL. ***((( NOTE THIS)))…. Paul went from being a religious and very zealous follower of the Law of Moses to the greatest Grace preacher who ever walked in shoe leather.
Well let me see, is there another two I would like to discuss? The fact is there is:
The SIXTH two men are found in Luke 18 one was a Pharisee the other a Tax Collector. Now I will just put their story up for you to read yourself:
Luke 18:9-14 Amplified Bible (AMP)
“9 He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves and were confident that they were righteous [that they were upright and in right standing with God] and scorned and made nothing of all the rest of men:
10 Two men went up into the temple [enclosure] to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
11 The Pharisee took his stand ostentatiously and began to pray thus before and with himself: God, I thank You that I am not like the rest of men — extortioners (robbers), swindlers [unrighteous in heart and life], adulterers — or even like this tax collector here.
12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I gain.
13 But the tax collector, [merely] standing at a distance, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but kept striking his breast, saying, O God, be favorable (be gracious, be merciful) to me, the especially wicked sinner that I am!
14 I tell you, this man went down to his home justified (forgiven and made upright and in right standing with God), rather than the other man; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Now let us take a close look at these last two men. One was really HUNG UP ON HIMSELF. Can you see that? He was bold and proud even to the point of being a HOLIER THAN THOU FELLA. He was really convinced that everything he touched turned to gold. Why he was the cat’s meow.
Does he not sorta make you sick when he LOOKED OVER AT THE OTHER MAN AND SAID:
“God, I thank You that I am not like the rest of men — extortioners (robbers), swindlers [unrighteous in heart and life], adulterers — or even like this tax collector here.”
***(((Well who ever told you sir that you were so wonderful? )))***
IF YOU WILL LOOK AT YOURSELF…. you will have to see that there are TWO OTHER PHARISEES listed above you who were (LOST). Yet you still are thinking you are better than OTHERS.
How did you come to the conclusion that YOU ARE SO GOOD?
The second man was quite different in his attitude. He said: “O God, be favorable (be gracious, be merciful) to me, the especially wicked sinner that I am!” He would not even so much as lift up his eyes toward heaven and smote upon his breast in conviction. He was humble before the Lord. ***He knew that he was a sinner and HE DID NOT TRY HIDING IT BEHIND HIS RELIGIOUS GARB AND TALK.
NOTE THIS: Now you may be saying who are you talking to Prophet? Well I am glad you asked. I wrote all this above JUST FOR YOU. I knew you would read this you religious hypocrite! I knew you would come here and read and I wanted you to know, I know you are not who you say you are. You are standing today and do not know for sure you are Saved. You know why, you are TRYING HARD TO CONVINCE EVERYONE, INCLUDING ME that you are a righteous person who really knows Jesus.
Now that that has been said, Let me finish by quoting some verses to drive the NAIL OF CONVICTION INTO YOUR SELF RIGHTEOUS HEART::
Romans 3:10-28
10 As it is written, None is righteous, just and truthful and upright and conscientious, no, not one.
11 No one understands [no one intelligently discerns or comprehends]; no one seeks out God.
12 All have turned aside; together they have gone wrong and have become unprofitable and worthless; no one does right, not even one!
13 Their throat is a yawning grave; they use their tongues to deceive (to mislead and to deal treacherously). The venom of asps is beneath their lips.
14 Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood.
16 Destruction [as it dashes them to pieces] and misery mark their ways.
17 And they have no experience of the way of peace [they know nothing about peace, for a peaceful way they do not even recognize].
18 There is no [reverential] fear of God before their eyes.
19 Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that [the murmurs and excuses of] every mouth may be hushed and all the world may be held accountable to God.
20 For no person will be justified (made righteous, acquitted, and judged acceptable) in His sight by observing the works prescribed by the Law. For [the real function of] the Law is to make men recognize and be conscious of sin [not mere perception, but an acquaintance with sin which works toward repentance, faith, and holy character].
21 But now the righteousness of God has been revealed independently and altogether apart from the Law, although actually it is attested by the Law and the Prophets,
22 Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah). [And it is meant] for all who believe. For there is no distinction,
23 Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives.
24 [All] are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,
25 Whom God put forward [before the eyes of all] as a mercy seat and propitiation by His blood [the cleansing and life-giving sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation, to be received] through faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over and ignored former sins without punishment.
26 It was to demonstrate and prove at the present time (in the now season) that He Himself is righteous and that He justifies and accepts as righteous him who has [true] faith in Jesus.
27 Then what becomes of [our] pride and [our] boasting? It is excluded (banished, ruled out entirely). On what principle? [On the principle] of doing good deeds? No, but on the principle of faith.
28 For we hold that a man is justified and made upright by faith independent of and distinctly apart from good deeds (works of the Law). [The observance of the Law has nothing to do with justification.]”
Now that you see YOU ARE NOT RIGHTEOUS, but you are a SINNER and you must be SAVED by Jesus Christ and His Blood. You have been going around saying you are KEEPING THE LAW and are so upright and holy. I want you to know by the authority of God, YOU ARE NOT RIGHTEOUS. The Scripture above says you MUST BE MADE BY GRACE THE RIGHTEOUS OF GOD BY FAITH IN THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS. It really is NOT YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS… but Jesus’ Righteousness that is on record after a person is saved.
So you must ***(((REPENT of your SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS )))*** AND BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST.
Than you will stop looking down your nose at OTHER MEN and begin to confess LORD I AM A SINNER AND I NEED HELP.
Write me if you NEED HELP. I am here to pray with you.
Matthew 7:21-23
“21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name and in thy name have cast out devils? And in your name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.”

Matthew 21:28-32 (NKJV)
The Parable of the Two Sons
28 “But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go, work today in my vineyard.’ 29 He answered and said, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he regretted it and went. 30 Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, ‘I go, sir,’ but he did not go. 31 Which of the two did the will of his father?”
They said to Him, “The first.”
Jesus said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you. 32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw it, you did not afterward relent and believe him.
