The Two Choices
They are only two kingdoms:
- The Kingdom of God,
- and the kingdom of Satan.
You serve one or the other. By indifference or rebellion, you will serve the other kingdom to the one you are in.
In other words, by not doing what your King says, or being indifferent to it, you serve the opposing king.
To deliberately not do what Jesus desires you to do, or deliberately show indifference to it, is to serve Satan.
We are told in James 4:17 that if we know we are to do something that God requires us to do, and do not do it, it is sin (rebellion against God). If not repented of, then you go to hell.
So do you keep the laws of the land when they do not go against the law of God, or do you take lightly the command of Jesus to give to the government what they ask you do you, and continually speed or make false tax declarations or other things that rob the government?
Remember that The Bible says those in government are placed there by God, but do not blame God for a bad government, as it reflects the choice of the majority of the people who voted for them [that government] and is an indication of the spiritual health of the nation.
“Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin,” James 4:17.
