Truth and Fact: Jesus IS LORD!
2 Words in 1
Serving The LORD
Your reason for serving The LORD should be for the purpose of glorifying His name.
If you turn away from the faith because no one recognizes you or the work you do, then you did it not for the glory of God, but for the praises of men.
To save yourself the unnecessary heartache and pain, it is best that you first resolve in your heart that even if no one recognizes you or the work you do you, will not get discouraged or quit, because it is all about God and not about you.
Coming to this conclusion will keep your heart pure and your motives in check.
Yes sometimes you may get a little bruised because of how you are treated or the hand you are dealt with, but you cannot allow the actions of people to determine your commitment to God.
If you focus more on pleasing man that you please God you are bound to compromise and soon you will become tainted.
Your ultimate goal should be to hear Him say, “Well done My good and faithful servant”.
Let your heart be encouraged child of God.
God is a rewarder and He will not only reward your work here on earth but He will also reward you in Heaven.
Have a blessed Sunday!
Truth and Fact: Jesus IS LORD!
When I took philosophy as a course in college, I learnt that truth is relative.
Your truth is not necessarily my truth. Their is a difference between truth and facts.
Truth is based upon your reality and what you know while facts can be proven to be true.
According to the Queen’s English Dictionary, facts can be defined as a thing known to have happened or exist; reality; a piece of verifiable information while truth can be defined as that which is true or an agreement with reality.
What makes something a fact, is that it can be proven to be true. So in essence, truth supports facts.
I say this to say that it is a fact that Jesus Christ is LORD and Savior of the world and He indeed died on the cross for the sins of man.
However, based upon the limited understanding and the exposure of some, this may not be true.
Though this may not be true for some, it does not change the fact that Jesus Christ is LORD.
If you have never come in contact or worn a genuine Versace or Louie bag, you will never be able to identify the difference between the real and the knock off.
Likewise, if you have never come in contact with Jesus Christ, who is proven to be true, you will always question if He is real or not.
Until you have personally experience and proven Him for yourself you may continue to have doubts.
So maybe someone like your grandparents, with a reputable character whom you respect and look up to, might have been serving God and based upon what you know from their experience with Jesus Christ, He does exist and He is LORD.
You, believing that Jesus Christ is LORD and that He does exist from the experience of your grandparents may be good, but we know life and based on what life presents you, and what you face, you may at times doubt.
What will remove every doubt and solidify your belief in His existence, is when you have experience Him and have proven Him for yourself.
You see, the enemy will always try to get you to doubt facts by creating a reality or truth.
The enemy’s reality does not have to be your reality. The enemy may have been telling you that Jesus Christ cannot get you through what you are going through because of what he has presented to you.
You do not have to accept that. When you know Jesus Christ for yourself there is no power in hell or man on the face of the earth that can convince you otherwise because you have personally encountered and proven Him.
This is not necessarily about highlighting what philosophers say or did not say, or what they believe or do not believe, but this is merely about helping you to understand that truth does not change facts and that your limited understanding of The LORD, does not mean He does not exist or is not Savior.
You see, something I have learnt is that nature can be altered and manipulated.
What you see happening around you, is your reality, but it does not necessarily mean it fact.
You may perceive something to be true based on your perspective or vantage point, but that does not mean it is fact.
If you are only seeing one angle (the face) of a four figure shape you may think it is only a square but what if it is a rectangle?
The only way to truly know what is behind something you cannot see is by asking The Holy Spirit.
We cannot ask something of someone we do not know. To know and get to know Him is to accept Him and invite Him into your life.
Ask The LORD and He will give you the Comforter, He promise He would.
