True to The Plumb!
True to The Plumb!
A message to Israel : Past, Present and the Future!
I woke up this morning having had a Dream of a shirt given to me to wear and my eyes spotted the brand on the collar of the shirt which read “AMOS”.
The Amos kind of prophets are being made ready and brought to the scene now!
I was kindled within to search it out for its implications of the hour on God’s heart and to check its significance for today’s Church and individuals.
I can’t be more excited to write about the Amos mantles — true to The Plumb!
Amos, means “to carry” or “born by God,” “Carrying the burden of The LORD!“
The Amos Message is one that Gives a holistic impartation of God’s heart to Israel of who it has been to what God sees it to be!
Arise fearless ones ! Face the brunt of truth
This is a time to hear what me may not like our itching hears to hear, but if God has set The Plumb — The Truth — who can change their mind?
Whom does The LORD entrust with his burden? He brings watchmen on the wall!
“And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem: neither was there any beast with me, save the beast that I rode upon.” Nehemiah 2:12.
Amos — Carrying the Burden (The word of God) — for a specific time and purpose.
These are the Shepherds who are Prophets — The Shepherd — Prophets.
God has hidden prophetic voices inside The Remnant Churches to protect their voice, to retain its Purpose and to stay true to The Plumb!
They have been taught governance through the body of Christ as they Shepherd it!
Amos Prophets — Arise!
An urgent word concerning Israel :
Plumb Line — Jesus Christ (The word of God).
Every area and aspect of our lives needs to have a divine run through The Plumb to measure and check for level of accuracy.
The Plumb Line has been set!
Are we numb to The Plumb?
“This is what he showed me: The LORD was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb, with a plumb line in his hand.
And The LORD asked me, “What do you see, Amos?”
“A plumb line,” I replied.
Then The LORD said, “Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.
“The high places of Isaac will be destroyed and the sanctuaries of Israel will be ruined; with my sword I will rise against the house of Jeroboam.”” Amos 7:7-9
“Then I looked up, and there before me was a man with a measuring line in his hand. I asked, “Where are you going?”
He answered me, “To measure Jerusalem, to find out how wide and how long it is.”
While the angel who was speaking to me was leaving, another angel came to meet him 4 and said to him: “Run, tell that young man, ‘Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of people and animals in it.” Zechariah 2:1-3.
The Wall is the standard — The Plumb Line
The Wall is Jesus Christ — True to The Plumb
“And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,’ declares The LORD, ‘and I will be its glory within.’” Zechariah 2:5.
This is heightened alert for Shepherds in the Body of Christ to take up their hidden Gifts of the Prophetic for this time ! The Rod of the shepherd is the word of God!
What is the weight of the stone on the line of The Plumb? — The Word of God : The weight on God’s heart VS what’s the measure of evaluation
“And this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of each word. MENE : God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; TEKEL : You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; PERES : Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.” Daniel 5:25.
Watchmen carry Timely counsel from The LORD Jesus Christ.
They carry the burden on God’s heart with no discussion, God’s purposes on earth!
God speaks and counsels his watchmen on time, place ,resources and governance ! He discloses to them exclusive wisdom on matters close to his heart.
The Prophetic — Shepherds :
The Amos prophets are those who have been gifted as prophets but God has placed them as God- ordained Shepherds over the body of Christ.
Israel’s destruction precedes Restoration.
Amos has a straightforward message to Damascus, Gaza, Tyre, Edom, Ammon, Moab.
For complacency, Pride, oppress the innocent , impose taxes, deprive the poor of justice,
“Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, Israel, prepare to meet your God.” Amos 4:12.
The Alarm of Amos :
“When a trumpet sounds in a city, do not the people tremble? When disaster comes to a city, has not The LORD caused it? Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.
The lion has roared — who will not fear? The Sovereign Lord has spoken — who can but prophesy?” Amos 2: 6-8
The Day of The LORD :
“Woe to you who long for the day of The LORD! Why do you long for the day of The LORD? That day will be darkness, not light. It will be as though a man fled from a lion only to meet a bear, as though he entered his house and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him. Will not the day of The LORD be darkness, not light — pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?” Amos 5:18-20.
Amos’s Cry for Justice :
“Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then The LORD God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps The LORD God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph.” Amos 5:14-15.
The pastoral and Prophetic office :
God turns Amos from preaching to Prophesying!
“Amos answered Amaziah, “I was neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees. But The LORD took me from tending the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’
Now then, hear the word of The LORD. You say, “‘Do not prophesy against Israel, and stop preaching against the descendants of Isaac.’
“Therefore this is what The LORD says: “‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be measured and divided up, and you yourself will die in a pagan country. And Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land.’” Amos 7:14-17.
The Endtime Perils — Famine of the Word of God!
“And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said The LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more……..
“The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign Lord, “when I will send a famine through the land – not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of The LORD. People will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east, searching for the word of The LORD, but they will not find it.” Amos 8:2.11-12.
Isreal’s Restoration :
“In that day I will restore David’s fallen shelter — I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins — and will rebuild it as it used to be, so that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear my name,” declares The LORD, who will do these things.
“The days are coming,” declares The LORD, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills, and I will bring my people Israel back from exile. They will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted rom the land I have given them,” says The LORD your God.” Amos 9:11-15.
