Transition in the Kenyan Church
Sometimes now there has been talk of Revival that is coming.
They are saying God will revive this or that, and Kenya will transform this way, so you know these are good predictions.
What we have heard is also very timely for this generation, as that underscore the revival that we desperately need.
But revivals do come in a manner such that those people who wait for it, and most of those who talk about it, realize it comes in ways they never thought it would….
You remember when Jesus came onto the scene, in that manger and born Messiah? He came from an unlikely root, and perhaps only the wise men saw that star which announced his birth at Bethlehem.
Prophet Micah speak of Bethlehem Ephrathah as an ‘insignificant place’, literally saying, a city, small among the clans in Judah. And when the Messiah arrived, the people of the world didn’t see His Glory.
Also related to the Messiah is the latter Temple. Not the temple of Solomon, since the previous tabernacle was ordained by the priests for the priesthood ministries, and that would mean the high priest going in The Holy-most section, once a year on behalf of the Nation.
Now comes the temple of Zerubbabel after the exiled returned. But we know of this temple, the day it stood, the worshipers cried foul.
Many of the older priests and Levites and family heads who had seen the former temple, wept aloud when they saw the foundation of this temple being laid. And we know quite a number rejected the second temple on account of comparison.
They said the first temple was more beautiful. They viewed this second temple as a mere structure and political millage for Nehemiah.
Speaking more about the hidden glory and the hidden revival using this temple metaphor, when Herod refurbished the Zerubbabelic temple, it became a worship place for the Jews in Roman times.
Jesus would later, on many occasions during His days, walk into this Herodian temple — which was a refurbished post exilic temple — and there Christ would teach about His Kingdom.
There is also another temple that would be built towards the end of the age, but that one is very related to the Messiah himself. And so when Haggai prophesied about the glory of the latter temple being mega, it does reflect the point of contact Christ had with the second temple.
But the Jews would not recognize that glory, because Christ did not visit in their time. Courtesy of the Roman Kingdom, Christs’ ministry was central to the temple. And so in matters of revival, one sees it — another is blinded to see.
But what I am saying is that the visitation may not come the way we think it must come, and I have said many times, no revival visited people who were sitting in a comfort zone. Never in history… or in the Bible.
If we will recognize Jesus in this land, then the glories of revival will be here.
That means, that Christ likeness is the only acceptable mark for a true Revival.
Now let us forget about other things. Let us look into Jesus. Can we prophesy the coming of Christlikeness, as that would be revival?
You see, when Christ came on the platform of time, that was indeed a revival, but they wouldn’t know.
I have seen a shift that is coming, and when I saw it in the dreams I began to think of a revival, a new wave of revival, and I pray it will be centered on Christ.
A few weeks ago, The LORD showed me a very big religious gathering. People were in a field and they were standing in groups — like you could see pockets of people standing in one place — so much of the field was not occupied.
They would form apart, and stand together, and so pockets of people were here and there in a very big meeting in a large field.
The podium was full of old men and one old father was preaching. We know this man as the father of the Church in Kenya, and could be one of the few fathers. He is known very well in this country.
Likewise on the platform were older men of God seated as ministering servants. I was standing in the middle of the ground.
Suddenly power went out, and now the man of God was not able to preach, and was not able to continue, because the sound system was affected.
I saw him turning his back to face the older men. He talked, but immediately left the stage and all those sitting on the podium left with him.
A man then approached me from where I was standing and told me the meeting has stopped, but I should buy from the man of God, the elderly preacher who was preaching.
He said, “He has his books in at the back of the stadium, at the book stand,” and he pleaded with me to purchase a book, even telling me that the prices were reduced so that people can buy.
I woke from this dream thinking about the transition and shift that is coming to the Kenyan Church.
I see there will be an exit, older people will go, but that is only Prophetic.
It is time for new vessel to tap new oil. It is s transition, leading to new Revival visitation!
Shalom,
~ Prophet Peter Odhiambo
Prophet Peter Odhiambo of Heart Revival Network International, Kenya is a Prophetic End-Time Minister of the Gospel, preaching in Crusades and open air Revival meetings. The LORD continues to show him the apostasy in the Church and the need to prepare the Bride, fit for the Wedding of the Lamb, as in Revelation 19:7-8.
