Transactions in Spiritual Places
When Judas came to The LORD Jesus with a kiss; he really thought Jesus wasn’t aware of the transaction that had taken place.
Jesus knew it was coming, spoke about it severally in the presence of Judas, yet he didn’t recognize what he had just done when the time of his trial came.
Oh, see how The LORD hoped that this wouldn’t happen the way He knew it would;
“And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy; And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch,” Mark 14:33-34.
The deal was sealed and signed in secret. All that Judas was to do was appear as an ally and plant a kiss.
“And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely. And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him,” Mark 14:44-45.
Most likely, Judas didn’t know what they would do to his Master — he was also most certain that Jesus would miraculously be saved, because He had seen how The LORD was saved miraculously over the years.
So this was a sure bet — diplomacy at its best! He would maintain a good standing with the Chief Priests and Scribes, make some cool cash, and expect His Master to pull one of His miraculous escapist stunts again.
This time it would be different.
He would watch His Master captured, detained and put through a gruesome process and eventually sentenced to be hung on the Cross.
By the time he realized his deed — it was too late!
He went back, tried to cancel the transaction, offering a refund.
“Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that,” Matthew 27:3-4.
A transaction had taken place that had been registered in the spirit, and could no longer be reversed at this point.
“And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself,” Matthew 27:5.
There are transactions in the spirit that are not easily reversed, hence should not be engaged without discernment!
When Elisha instructed the King Joash to strike the ground as a PropheticSsign for victory against the Moabites, he struck thrice and stayed.
Elisha got furious and told him the consequences of his actions.
Interestingly, Elisha didn’t tell him to start all over again and redo that spiritual act.
“And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows. And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his hand upon it: and Elisha put his hands upon the king’s hands. And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The arrow of The LORD’S deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them. And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed. And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice,” 2 Kings 13:15-19.
There are principles that back words spoken out of Spiritual Authority. They are like arrows shot that are not easily recalled!
“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it,” Isaiah 55:10-11.
This is why The Angel of The LORD had to make the move to stop Balaam from releasing the curse against Israel.
The Angel didn’t fold his hands — ignoring or downplaying what Balaam could do! Rather, if he must be allowed to speak, then he must only speak The Blessings of The LORD over Israel.
“And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed,” Numbers 22:12.
There have been too many casualties from accidental discharges from people who were given spiritual firearms who didn’t know how to use it.
Transactions from a place of spiritual authority, whether righteous or demonic authority, carries a force for its execution.
To be ignorant of the devices and schemes of the enemy; without an appropriate righteous course of action is spiritual illiteracy.
