Tongues and Receiving Tongues
Some of you are saying people are getting filled with the Holy Ghost, but in reality, they are just repeating the tongues you are saying in their ear!
You are making them say “Jesus,” one thousand times, then when they get tongue tied, you are hollering that they are filled.
We are going to stop all this foolishness in the Body of Christ.
Many times I go into places and notice the majority of the people who say they are Spirit filled, are just mimicking what they are hearing from another person.
When you are Spirit filled, God gives you a language to be able to communicate with Him in a way Satan can’t understand and you can privately talk to Him, even when you are in a crowd of people.
Receiving a language with the infilling of the Holy Ghost is for communication with God. Also remember that when the people in Acts were filled, those from different nations heard them speaking in the hearers’ own native languages.
The true evidence of being Spirit filled can be found in Galatians 5:22-23 and consists of these attributes of the fruit of the Spirit, associated with the Spirit of God, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.
It’s the display of these attributes in the life of the person as a lifestyle, that gives us the evidence that they truly are filled with the Holy Ghost.
In the modern church, they are not teaching on being filled with the Spirit and living in His attributes in the daily teachings. Even those people who have given their lives to Christ, don’t take them further into the fulfillment of all they are, to receive upon their conversion to living for Jesus Christ.
They teach repentance and water baptism, but not receiving the promise of receiving the comforter who is the Holy Ghost. For some reason, they want to leave Him out.
To be effective as witnesses throughout the world, we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).
He teaches us and equips us to know the truth, and convicts us (1 John 3:24, 2 Corinthians 1:22, Ephesians 1:13).
He unites us to Christ in His death and resurrection (Romans 6:1-11, Galatians 2:20).
He empowers us to do right, live in faith, and perform good works (Romans 7:18, Ephesians 2:4-10).
You see, some just identity Him as tongues, but He is much more than that. He is part of the Godhead (God in three persons Father Son Holy Spirit) and is necessary for you to have in your life as part of your Christian walk.
Yes, He will lead and guide you into all truths and you need Him, because of all the evil and wickedness in the world. After all, He shall teach you all things and bring to your remembrance what Jesus has said to you (John 14:26).
If you have not received Him, please get before the LORD and pray for Him to come!
He will come inside you and fill you with power!
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law,” Galatians 5:22-23.
