To Whom Much is Given ~ Much Will Be Required!
This quote in the above picture, is absolutely the true “heart anguish” language of the prophetic life.
There’s no glamour in the authentic calling at all.
Yes… There is the glorious, the knowing of God’s secrets, and the mightiness of His given gift as it operates…..
But all of that is of God, and is for His glory, only.
The anvil and the hammer, gently but firmly applied, are what shapes the prophet.
Those who refuse the intense refining and fine tuning, wander from the place of pure devotion and willing obedience to do and say, only what The Spirit of God would have them say.
Nothing more and nothing less is what is required.
No fanfare or spotlights need be used to make the words feel or appear to be more supernatural or fearsome.
A refined vessel, is simply that.
A vessel, that pours out the glory contained inside, and then, returns to being simply a common vessel, ready to be further shaped and re-shaped for the Master’s use.
Those who are easily angered or who are mournful when they are not received as they think they should be, find limited opportunities to flow outwardly.
They are still holding on to a deep rooted need to be a “persona” rather than yielding to give all portions or service to “THE PERSONAGE” of Christ.
Some find out they don’t want the prophetic life when its popularity fades.
This is when a separation takes place…. a realizing that this calling isn’t about a mass of words or constant output. It’s a delivery system where God has a specific time frame for each word uttered.
To whom much is given….. Much will be required.
I encourage those who are certain of the call to prophetic ministry, to allow the words of John the Baptist, the forerunner of Christ and a desert trained prophet, to echo and search every nook and cranny of every motive, every thought, and every plan, until only the humble Fear of The LORD remains, with the courage to not waver under pressures to quit or modify truths, until all is spent for the Master.
“He must increase; I must decrease.
The One who comes from above is above all.
The one who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks as one from the earth.
The One who comes from heaven is above all,” John 3:30-31.

Beautiful. Love it.

So very true. Those He chooses to be golden vessels He refines in ovens fired seven times hotter. The refining is not fun. Few will endure to the end.
I would only add that this call is not just for the prophet. Any who desire to have full intimacy with the King must endure the trials He uses to prepare us. It is in these trials where maturity blossoms and faith comes to life. So few want to pay that price.
Thank you for the post.
