To the Weary Traveler
The LORD says,
“I know the places that you have been. I know the things that you have seen.
I know the shame that weighs heavily upon your heart. I know the weariness comes not only from without but from within.
I know that you are restless and dry. I know that you seek water that will satiate the thirst within.
It seems like such a long time ago. It seems like it was a place so far away.
It was a time that you knew peace. Now you do not know how to find your way back.
It seems that all that remains is wandering. It seems that there is forever restlessness.
On this day I speak unto you an invitation:
“Come to Me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. I will refresh your soul with living water. Come refresh yourself in the living water. Taste and see that I AM good.”
If you were the only living person on this planet I would have sent My Son for you. If you were the only person alive He would’ve died for you.
Do you not see the depths of My love? Today I speak unto you revelation. This revelation is at the heart of all revelations. It is the revelation of My deep love for YOU.
I want a personal relationship with YOU. I do not care where you have been. I do not care what you have done. My Son’s blood is far greater than any failures you have amassed in your life.
You have wandered long enough. You have searched high and low. But on this day you have found. For I so loved the world that I gave My one and only Son so that whosoever shall believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. His name is Jesus and he is the lover of your soul.
Today is the day of your awakening. There is victory in surrender when you surrender your heart unto Me.”
My Prayer
“LORD, Jesus I have wandered far and wide.
I have been searching and yet it seems that which I have searched for remains elusive. It remains just out of my grasp.
Yet on this day I realize what I have been searching for. The answer is in Your love. The answer is in Your grace.
The answer is in my surrender. LORD, I surrender unto You.
I confess that I have fallen short of Your glory.
I confess that I have sinned against You. Forgive me of my sins. Wash me clean. Give me a new heart.
LORD, I long to drink of Your living waters. I long for something that will satisfy.
I believe that answer is only in You. All of my life it has felt as though there is a hole within me.
I’ve tried the things of this world but nothing fits. Fill the hole in my heart. Make me WHOLE in You.
I give my heart and my life unto You. Jesus, I SURRENDER. Be the LORD of my life.”
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus,” Romans 3:23-24.
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame,” Romans 10:9-11.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation,” 2 Corinthians 5:17-19.
If you have prayed this prayer with me sincerely from your heart, you have been REBORN in Christ. You are a NEW creation! Don’t keep it to yourself. Tell someone!
