To Our Weary Leaders…
This is a post to encourage those in leadership who have got weary and worn down by the warfare of ministry and dealing with rebellious and disobedient sheep.
This is not a post to air your grievances about a bad leader you have come in contact with.
But this is to encourage those good leaders who are being treated badly because somebody is taking out on them, what somebody else did to them.
For those of you who have good leaders, this week I’m asking you to do something special to show them you love them.
I am counseling leaders who want to give up because of the warfare they are receiving from those whom they have been called to help!
How do you rate somebody who often times is so overlook?
How can you ask them to sacrifice their life,
Then turn around and call them a crook?
How do you put a value on somebody who is always on call?
How can you justify mistreating them and not expect them to put up a wall?
How do you put a price tag on somebody who is so true?
How can you gossip and talk about about a person when in your perception of them, you have no clue?
You see, your leader sometimes must stand alone,
Fighting a war that many times causes them to lose all they own.
They give up their comforts to make sure the people are alright,
Only to have them turn around and hurt them and cause them to lose their desire to fight.
You see a leader sometimes gets confused, discourage and sad,
Because they don’t understand how the people has become so stiff, rigid and bad.
They say many times, “Why don’t those I serve, help the vision to stand,
But they don’t care how much they see the leader work they won’t lend them a hand?”
You ask a leader how did you continue on to serve, when those you lead are not for you?
And the leader will answer, “Because I can’t let go of a soul, so I work until ABBA says I’m through!”
Often people criticizes the leadership, not knowing the heartache and pain many go through just to be obedient to YAH’s will.
The suffering they must endure, often from those whom many times they have labored and prayed through to victory.
They, many times, have to deal with betrayal, that puts them in a place of isolation and despair.
They become disillusioned, because those whom YAH has placed in their care are ungrateful and selfish.
I have not seen the degree of selfishness that I see in this hour, where people don’t value their leader, nor care about them enough to see them make it.
As a leader, I can tell you that it can cause you to serve the people in grief, because you see the attitudes of persons who are supposed to love you, showing you through their actions that there is no love involved!
When you pour out to the people and take your time seeking YAH for the people, and doing everything in your power to make things alright for them, then to be betrayed, talked about, name discredited, and character torn down, all by those whom you have lost sleep over and turned your plate over for, and counseled and prayed with them, for them to have a breakthrough, it is a hard blow.
But yet, that leader will keep praying, keep loving, keep fighting, for that same soul that tried to destroy them.
Today I’m honoring leaders.
Those unrecognized warriors, those quiet hero’s of the faith who have labored, fought and stood, just so those in their care can live life abundantly.
Leaders, I salute you, and I say: Continue to stand go forth and fight, because victory is yours!
