To Our LORD
A Psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud
To Our LORD
When the sun rises this day
The beasts who were on the prowl
In the forest at night, steal away
And return home to their dens
The birds stir and take flight
The flowers open their petals
The leaves of the trees begin to dance
After a night of slumber and rest
Your People awaken
After prayer and worship
They break their fast with thankful hearts
For another day You have blessed
They sing:
“The sun rises on another day
Let us rejoice in this day He has made
To our LORD we give all we have
To our God who looks after us
To our LORD we give our very breaths
To our God who never forgets.”
The men smile and sing the morning away
Knowing every word they lift up, their LORD is honored
Every plow that sinks into the earth
Is blessed by their LORD
For a crop is planted
And a bountiful harvest is reaped
They sing all morning through:
“The sun rises on another day
Let us rejoice in this day He has made
To our LORD we give all we have
To our God who looks after us
To our LORD we give our very breaths
To our God who never forgets.”
The women smile and sing the afternoon away
Knowing every word they lift up, their LORD is honored
Every loaf of bread kneaded and shaped
Is blessed by their LORD
For when baked it will be plenty
And will feed many
They sing all afternoon through:
“The sun rises on another day
Let us rejoice in this day He has made
To our LORD we give all we have
To our God who looks after us
To our LORD we give our very breaths
To our God who never forgets.”
The children smile and sing the day away
Rejoicing in their Heavenly Father
Who lavishes love upon them
As He plays games with them all day
With a smile on His Lips and a twinkle in His Eyes
He blesses and loves every one of them
His children sing all day through:
“The sun rises on another day
Let us rejoice in this day He has made
To our LORD we give all we have
To our God who looks after us
To our LORD we give our very breaths
To our God who never forgets.”
All through the day they work
All through the day they sing to their LORD
And when the sun sets;
When He brings darkness
And it becomes night
And all the beasts of the forest prowl —
The lions roar for their prey
And seek their food from God
His people are safe inside their homes
Still singing with gladden hearts:
“The sun sets on this day
Let us rejoice in this day He has made
To our LORD we give all we have
To our God who looks after us
To our LORD we give our very breaths
To our God who never forgets.”
They sing all through the evening:
“May He bless us with tomorrow
For we shall rejoice in Him again!
To our LORD we give all we have
To our God who looks after us
To our LORD we give our very breaths
To our God who never forgets.”
“You bring darkness, it becomes night, and all the beasts of the forest prowl. The lions roar for their prey and seek their food from God. The sun rises, and they steal away; they return and lie down in their dens. Then people go out to their work, to their labor until evening,” Psalm 104:20-23.
“This is the day that The LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it,” Psalm 118:24.
“But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you,” Psalm 5:11.
“To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy!” Psalm 47:1.

“Let everything that has breath praise The LORD.” Psalm 150:6.
