To Every Thing There Is A Season
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
To Every Thing There Is A Season
Open the windows
Opens the doors
Throw away the old
Make way for the new
Mend the floors
Fill the rooms
Dust the drapes
Polish the furniture
Sow the seeds
Water and tend
To every thing there is a season,
And a time to every purpose under the heaven
It is time for His Harvest
It is time for His Power to manifest
It is time for His Judgment to pass
For it is written:
“I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Make straight the way for The LORD.’”
Prepare the table
Adorn it with fruit
Dress in your finest
Beauty and joy radiate
Light sparkles
His Goodness illuminates
Every heart seated with Him
Hearts overflow
His Love swells
His Bounty is never ending
For those who have come to sup
To every thing there is a season,
And a time to every purpose under the heaven
It is time for His Harvest
It is time for His Power to manifest
It is time for His Judgment to pass
For it is written:
“I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Make straight the way for The LORD.’”
Keep the lamps full
Keep the lamps burning
In the windows
Keep watch and wait
Pray and decree night and day —
For it is written:
“I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Make straight the way for The LORD.’”
To every thing there is a season,
And a time to every purpose under the heaven
It is time for His Harvest
It is time for His Power to manifest
It is time for His Judgment to pass
For it is written:
“I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Make straight the way for The LORD.’”
Again I say,
“I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Make straight the way for The LORD!’”
Open the windows
Open the doors
Let the Light of The LORD in
And let every thing shine within
“Make straight the way for The LORD!”
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
“People do not light a lamp and put it under the bushel basket; rather, they put it on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:15-16
“John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’”” John 1:23

“On this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined.” Isaiah 25:6
“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.” Revelation 22:10
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.” Matthew 25:1-12
“By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” Proverbs 24:4
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” Romans 12:1
“A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” Psalm 127:1
“And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
