The bells are ringing and it is high time to set the House in order!

This morning I had a dream about this house and there were children playing. Some people living in this house seemed to be pleased with the house, and to prove it, they were showing it around to those who came in to visit.

But as I begin to walk around, I ran into this policeman and he was making one of his prisoners commit an act of perversion on him. And, as I walked, I felt scared that he was going to harm me, because I had witnessed him doing it, so I kept walking as though I did not see it, and then he took his baton and begin beating this man something horrible. I felt so scared.

Interpretation and Application

The LORD is going to restore his house (covering, ministry, home, place of worship, church) and the glory in the days to come.

The LORD is saying that many of his children (children of God, church, maturity, and disciples) are happy in the house that they have, and it has not been defiled, but many of you have been molested, abused and taken advantage of and He is not pleased.

(Perversion) In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying, speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying, who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory?

And how do ye see it now? Is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing? Yet now be strong, o Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, o Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts: according to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not. For thus saith the LORD of hosts; yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; and I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

You see, the temple had gone unbuilt, but the LORD wanted the work to continue and He knew in order for that to be done, He was going to have to raise up a people who would obey. Those who did not mind getting their hands dirty!

God wanted someone who would be encouraged to build what the enemy had torn down and tried to hinder. This person would have to have a servants heart, and could not allow the enemy to bring a spirit of pride that would hinder the work like this person did in the dream who had been given governmental authority to help those who was less fortunate then himself, but had taken it upon himself to abuse the servants in the house.

The LORD gives courage to those who are faithful, loyal, and who are willing workers in his kingdom; as well as those who are obedient. And, not only that but he will make provision for them to build, for I heard Him say, “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts, and there will be no more division and strife! In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying, thus saith the LORD of hosts; ask now the priests concerning the law, saying, if one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, no. Then said Haggai, if one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, it shall be unclean.

You see, the LORD is looking for those who are holy, sanctified, and set apart to do this work, and he does not want just anybody, but this vessel will be a prepared vessel; unlike the policemen I saw in the dream abusing his authority, because the people should not have to feel, controlled, manipulated, and tricked into doing things that they are ashamed to do while they are in captivity!

Then answered Haggai, and said, so is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean. And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD, (Haggai 2:1-15).

My God my God. The LORD wants those who are considering building to understand that there is a price to be paid when he places us in authority to build a house for him and with it comes responsibility and authority and that authority should never be abused when it comes to his people!

For, I heard him say, “The spirit of the LORD God is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound,” (Isaiah 61:1).

Yet, when I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because I am obligated to preach. And, this is not something that I or anyone else should want to do, but the urge and the desire should be something like Jeremiah said, it is like fire shut up in your bones and you cannot help it!

But I hear the LORD saying, ”Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! If my preaching is voluntary, I have a reward. But if it is not voluntary, I am still entrusted with a responsibility. (God has set you as a watchman/a policeman to govern authority in the Kingdom of God) what then is my reward?

That in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, (my God my God many of you have begun to prophesy, preach and teach looking for pay and angry because it has not come and now you beating and mistreating the flock) and so not use up my rights in preaching it.

Though I am free of obligation to anyone, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible, (1 Corinthians 9:16-19).

God wants to return the glory of the house to it’s first glory and he can not do it without you! Are you a willing participant or will the LORD have to stop by and visit you like he did Jonah?
