Time to Respect Leaders
There is disrespect toward those who are good leaders, those who walk in integrity and character, because people have connected to crooked, unholy, ungodly leaders.
So many good leaders are in warfare with sheep who have been hurt and now have trust issues, who have been used, so now they don’t do anything at all in a ministry, or have been scammed, so now they don’t give at all.
They are being persecuted and mistreated by those who have been spiritually abused, because they want somebody to pay for what has been done to them.
The problem with this, is that they are attacking the ones who can help them overcome what they have been through.
It’s an injustice for someone to take out their frustrations and anger on persons who had nothing to do with their pain.
In my years in ministry, I can tell you that dealing with persons who have been hurt by another leader is a turbulent, confusing ordeal, because you have to deal with these dual personalities that erupt as soon as you correct chastised or rebuke.
This is when the, “I knew you never cared,” personality shows up, that acts like a spoiled pouting kid that wants its way. They will then go into these rants and raves about you, just like their last leader whom they say hurt them. Then five minutes later, they are saying you don’t act like and treat them like their former leader!
One minute, they are loving you as their leader, the next, they are telling everybody you are no good and talking about you to discredit you.
Good leaders are often put in positions of being a recovery center for those going through all these conflicting emotions and attitudes.
Real godly leaders are a rare kind, a rare breed, and when you find a good leader who will watch out for you and your soul and care about you, then it’s time stop making them the scapegoat for the person who hurt and abuse you!
