Throw Thanks, Not Tantrums — For Your Own Good!
When it’s not going well, when it seems as if GOD is not coming through or doesn’t even care, when you’re experiencing and battling an avalanche of problems — including weaknesses, reproaches, needs, persecutions and distresses, it feels natural to falter and fall downslope by throwing tantrums and complaining to GOD.
Oh, I understand. I empathise. I often battle same, dear brother/ sister.
But that’s the path of destruction!
As written,
“Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted. And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.” Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell; nor let us tempt CHRIST, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.“” 1 Corinthians 10:6-10.
So, here’s what GOD has taught me, and works wonders always:
When you feel like throwing tantrums, give thanks to GOD instead.
When you feel like complaining, get praising GOD instead.
Doing so will ensure your deliverance from problems. But complaining brings certain destruction. Surely and truly, you will experience The Glory of GOD released into you to travail and triumph.
As demonstrated by Paul and Silas in jail (when they were illegally imprisoned), praying and praising GOD in the midst of adversity always release the great earthquaking, prison-foundations-shaking, prison-doors-opening, chains-loosing POWER OF GOD to set you free, deliver, promote and prosper you (Acts 16:16-34).
This Truth of GOD was also proven true and unfailing in the case of King Jehoshaphat and his people in 2 Chronicles 20:1-30.
The primary thing GOD commands those approaching Him to do first and foremost, is to undertake thanksgiving and praise unto Him (Psalm 100:4).
Why?
“For THE LORD is good; His Mercy is everlasting, and His Truth endures to all generations.” Psalm 100:5.
Who GOD is and what He has done for us and daily does for us, are exceedingly good enough reasons to give Him thanks always.
“Bless THE LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His Holy NAME! Bless THE LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His Benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with Lovingkindness and Tender Mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with Good Things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. THE LORD executes Righteousness And Justice for all who are oppressed. He made known His Ways to Moses, His Acts to the children of Israel. THE LORD is Merciful and Gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in Mercy.” Psalm 103:1-8.
We are bound to always give thanks to GOD and praise Him because of His Goodness, Everlasting Mercy, and Enduring Truth.
His Salvation/ Eternal Life to us is because of His Goodness, Everlasting Mercy, and Enduring Truth, (Ephesians 2:4-9).
From THE WORD and my personal experience, thanksgiving and praising GOD expressly move Him to act for you swiftly.
He commands us to give thanks for all things and in everything, (Ephesians 5:20; 1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Do you know why?
All things work together for our good! (Romans 8:28).
Therefore, don’t throw tantrums, give thanks instead. This is good for both GOD and you.
This Truth/ Revelation is all the more indispensably urgently important as turbulent times hit the earth in these tumultuous last days.
If you complain, you will be destroyed. If you give thanks, you will be delivered!
Always choose to give thanks to GOD, no matter what is happening.

“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Addison Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
