Thoughts on Onething 2015
Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke is “very, very much looking forward” to preaching on New Year’s Eve at Onething 2015!
And why?
The German-born evangelist — who has seen millions saved under his ministry — will share with 20,000 young adults the message burning on his heart: about Jesus’ desire to enlarge heaven.
In Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus said, “wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
If the way to destruction is broad, does this mean hell will be bigger than heaven? What was Jesus saying?
“But,” Reinhard says, “Jesus planted His cross in the middle of that highway. The cross of Jesus Christ is the biggest roadblock of all time, (saying) stop! Don’t go any further!”
As Christians, we are to stand at the foot of the cross and proclaim the good news of the gospel.
“We preach ‘Repent and believe the gospel. Stand still, turn around, change your mind, change your direction,’” Reinhard says. “And when the people who went downhill obey the word of God as we preach it, they will turn around and no more go down but up into heaven.”
“I refuse to believe that hell is going to be bigger than heaven,” he adds. “I am sure that heaven will be bigger than hell. I cannot believe that one day Satan will wag his finger against God and say ‘Hey God, I won after all. I got more people with me down here in hell than You have in heaven with You.’ That will not take place.”
There is another important part of Reinhard’s message for believers: we are to pray for laborers to be sent into the harvest (Matthew 9:38), and then go as laborers, partnering with the Lord of the harvest as He answers this prayer (Matthew 10:1).
“It’s pray and go, pray and go, pray and go, and pray and preach,” he says. “I’ve said it before, but evangelism without prayer is like an explosive without a detonator, and prayer without evangelism is like a detonator without an explosive. We need both.”
Pray for this Event, Onething 2015, put this o your prayer calendar… PRAYER makes a difference.
