Those Who Hunger & Thirst Shall Be Filled
If you’ve ever had a true encounter with Jesus, you know that the experience is life-changing.
It will leave you with an unquenchable hunger for more revelation on the things of God.
There is a Remnant who has experienced the supernatural intervention of God in their personal lives, and have known the secrets and mysteries of heaven.
They long for such times, when The Presence of The Holy Spirit fills their homes and Churches, as they get caught up in The Shekinah Glory.
They could never go back and be satisfied with a surface-level Christianity, but instead, they will continually press in for another supernatural encounter.
They will seek the transformative presence of Jesus in their lives, that will take them from Glory to Glory.
Some of you have never experienced such encounters, but Jesus wants to visit you today!
Throughout The Bible we read about phenomenal encounters that hungry people had with the LORD.
Some were willing to sacrifice everything in their lives; as Abraham was about to sacrifice his only son for God.
In the book of Exodus chapter 33, whenever Moses went out to the tabernacle, the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door and The LORD spoke to him.
He spoke to him face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Moses said to God; “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here!”
The LORD replied, “This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in My sight, and I know you by name.” Moses replied, “Please, show me Your Glory.”
Another prophet who had a calling and a passion for His presence was the Prophet Elisha. He slaughtered his yolk of oxen and burned his plowing equipment to cook the meat and feed the people.
He then set out to follow Elijah. He asked Elijah for a double portion of his anointing and he received it when The LORD took Elijah up in a whirlwind.
For those of you who sacrificed everything, The LORD says: “I will honor your sacrifice. Jacob wrestled with an angel and said, “I won’t let you go until you bless me!”
The LORD says to you who have been relentlessly wrestling with God, “Your perseverance will surely be rewarded.”
There was a man named Zacchaeus who was so desperate to see Jesus that he climbed a Sycamore tree just to watch Him walk by.
When Jesus saw him he said, “I will come to your house to visit you today!” Those of you who are desperate to see Jesus will soon have a visitation from Him. Don’t get weary in times of waiting.
For those women who are like the woman who desperately pushed through the crowd to touch Jesus cloak, The LORD says to you, “Your Faith has made you whole!”
There are others of you who are desperate for a touch from Jesus just as the men who brought a paraplegic to Him.
The crowds were so large that they couldn’t get in the room where He was staying. They tore off the roof and lowered the man down on a stretcher. Jesus said, “Your sins are forgiven!” and the man was healed.
The LORD says to those of you who continually bring your family and friends before Him in intercession, “Your prayers have been heard on high. I will heal them and forgive their sins.”
There are some of you who are so hungry for Jesus that you’ve left everything to follow Him.
The LORD says to you (just as He said to Peter) “For anyone who has left behind their home and property, leaving family, brothers or sisters, mothers or fathers, or children for my sake, they will be repaid a hundred times over and will inherit eternal life.
But many who push themselves to be first will find themselves last. And those who are willing to be last will find themselves to be first.”
Jesus is a rewarder for those who are hungry and diligently seek Him and He is searching for those who are desperate for Him.
For those of you who are hungering for righteous, “You shall be filled…” says The LORD.
“For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.” Isaiah 44:3
“For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.” Psalm 107:9
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6
“But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14
