This Is the Truth – Do You Believe It?
For years you have wandered in a fog. It seems that there is a dark cloud which hangs over your life and each day you are reminded of it. As you look ahead to see only more of the same. For you there is no hope.
The Lord says, “Come to Me you who are without hope and I will give you hope that cannot be stolen from you. Your hopes have been bound to this world and its system but the hope available to you through Christ Jesus cannot be taken from you. It is eternal. Receive My Son and the hope that is in His name.”
Past mistakes weigh heavily upon you. You look over your shoulder with a heart that is filled with regret. You say to yourself, “There is no forgiveness for me”. In your mind those past mistakes define you. They say, “This is who I am and it will never ever change.”
The Lord has a word for you. “Look through My Holy Scriptures and you will find a host of fallible people who have been redeemed in Me. You will see that I have forgiven murderers, adulterers, fornicators, liars, thieves and a whole host of sins. There is no one who is beyond my grace. Repent of your mistakes and receive My forgiveness through My Son, Christ Jesus.”
You have been looking for love and yet it is nowhere to be found. You have sought it and friendships and relationships with the opposite sex. You have searched high and low and yet the love that you find is not pure. It always has strings attached. It says, “I love you if…” or “I love you when…,” but it never says, “I love you, PERIOD.”
The Lord says, “This world’s love is nothing like My love. This world loves the lovable but rejects those it deems unlovable. But I say through the forgiveness available through My Son ALL can receive love. My love is unfathomable and when you have received it, you will know what true love is. Stop chasing this world’s fickle love and receive My unfailing love.”
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light,” Matthew 11:28-30.
“Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God’s elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness, a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,” Titus 1:1-2.
“But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit,” Jeremiah 17:7-8.
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal,” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord,” Romans 8:38-39.
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God. who loved me and gave himself for me,” Galatians 2:20.
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions — it is by grace you have been saved,” Ephesians 2:4-5.
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you,” 1 Peter 5:6-7.
“But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness,” Psalm 86:15.
Take the LORD at His word. The things you desire most cannot be found in this world but they will be found in His riches.
“LORD, I come before you with a deep pain in my heart. I know the words above describe me. For years I have sought what this world has to offer but I have come up empty. My hope has been sapped from me.
I feel forgiveness is out of my reach. I have looked the world over but have never found a love that satisfies. I long for more. I long to receive the promise of Your word.
On this day I have come before You having made a choice. I will forsake the falseness of this world to receive Your truth. I repent of my worthless pursuits. I repent of my godless life. I repent of all my transgressions.
Jesus, I know You died for my sins and yet I have resisted Your free gift of grace. I have resisted Your mercies which You wish to pour out upon me. I surrender. Come into my heart.
Be the LORD of my life. I place the full weight of my faith in You to deliver me. Draw near to me. Forgive me of my sins and wash me in Your blood. AMEN.”
The gift of grace can no more be stopped than the rising of the morning sun. Embrace the promise of a new day in Jesus.
Did you sincerely pray with me? If so, then this promise applies to you!
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Don’t keep this new life to yourself. Let the world know!
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved,” Romans 10:9-10.
