This is Our Father’s World, Not a Covid-19 World!
This morning I woke up with a song from long ago, “This is My Father’s World”.
I didn’t know the words and had to research the lyrics, printed at the end of this article. I was amazed at the accuracy of the third verse.
This is God’s world, not the enemy’s! It is not a COVID-19 world.
We cannot call it that — we must watch our words! There is power behind our words. Our words can create or destroy, breathe life or bring death.
Life and death are in the tongue.
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it will eat its fruit,” Proverbs 18:21.
In an encounter I had not long ago, The Spirit showed me how chaos was reigning in the earth because of the fear this plague has created.
He told me to combat chaos by releasing “The Spirit of Peace” of God. We must rest in Him in a world where it appears chaos reigns.
I was outside of chaos in this encounter; and in a realm of peace. The chaos couldn’t touch me unless i looked at that little iPhone and engaged with the fear being released. (See previous HKP Word, “Command Chaos to Cease and Release Peace!” explaining the encounter).
God needs peacemakers in this chaotic world! We are placed in the midst of trouble to bring peace.
“The peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus,” Philippians 4:7,
and
“Those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness,” James 3:18.
Peace is the opposite of chaos.
It is our duties as children of God to release into the atmosphere around us the opposite of the evil that is happening.
We must also pray for the root of the problem to be removed. We pray that every root of evil to be destroyed so God can plant His seeds of peace, love, joy and hope to combat the evil around us.
This is NOT a Covid-19 world. This our Father’s world! If we give the enemy a foothold, he will try and take everything we are, and what he brings will consume us — fear, disappointment, sorrow, despair, chaos etc.
We can have the Shalom of God when we choose to rest in the midst of the tempest. We must leave everything we know in the natural and join with Jesus by faith.
In getting out of the boat, like Peter, and leaving all baggage and false beliefs behind, we must step out into the water to walk by faith with Jesus as our only source of strength and wisdom — blind faith!
This is My Father’s World
Maltbie D. Babcock
This is my Father’s world,
And to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father’s world:
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas–
His hand the wonders wrought.
This is my Father’s world:
The birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white,
Declare their Maker’s praise.
This is my Father’s world:
He shines in all that’s fair;
In the rustling grass, I hear Him pass,
He speaks to me everywhere.
This is my Father’s world:
O let me ne’er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the Ruler yet.
This is my Father’s world:
Why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King: let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let earth be glad!
(This hymn was written by Maltbie Davenport Babcock, a minister in New York, who would go on walks in upper state New York and tell his wife he was going out to “see the Father’s world”. May we all see the world like he did, even when it looks ugly out).
