Thinking of Ourselves
Saints, we are not to think of ourselves more highly than we should. We are to love and bless our enemies.
I will never forget something my Dad told me back in 1997 that forever changed my life. He walks in great wisdom and truth and at one time was my Sunday school teacher.
When I was going through a difficult time and hated someone, and all I wanted to do was point out their faults, he told me not to look at their faults, but look at my own, and to pray for them.
It was a life changing moment, and as I began to take my focus off of the other person’s faults and look at my own, and pray for them, my heart softened, and God poured out grace and love.
With that said, right now people are pointing fingers politically at others, when they don’t realize that four fingers are pointing right back at them.
If we do not cling to the teachings of Christ Jesus, we will be deceived and hate, anger, bitterness and unforgiveness will abide in our hearts.
We have to get the log out of our own eye and love others and see them through the lens of God. HEAR THIS WELL, sinners do what they have always done.
We are not to be like sinners, and we are not to gripe and complain that sinners act like sinners. If we do then we have not matured in the love of Christ Jesus.
We have to walk in love, in grace, in God’s Name Holy! I have many messaging me right now, who have a bad taste in their mouth about what has taken place in this nation, and I want to encourage you in truth to stop pointing your fingers at other people.
To look circumspectly at yourself through the lens of God, as the Word divides between intents and motives and to walk in the fruit of Holy Spirit.
I love you and if I didn’t I would allow people to go on being in the ditch they are in.
However, I love you and I love God’s truth, so that my earnest desire is to tell you the truth in love and tell you, I’ve been where you have been and have learned to not examine and judge others, but myself.
“For there is no good (healthy) tree that bears decayed (worthless, stale) fruit, nor on the other hand does a decayed (worthless, sickly) tree bear good fruit.
For each tree is known and identified by its own fruit; for figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor is a cluster of grapes picked from a bramblebush.
The upright (honorable, intrinsically good) man out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart produces what is upright (honorable and intrinsically good), and the evil man out of the evil storehouse brings forth that which is depraved (wicked and intrinsically evil); for out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his mouth speaks.
Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practice] what I tell you?” Luke 6:42-46 AMPC
A saint crying out to God for fullness of deliverance and the manifestation of salvation.
