GOD says: They’ve Stolen MY RAINBOW!

Last week I was driving from prayer to work. I came to a stop at an intersection I pass through every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning. As I looked to my left, I stared at the same church I had seen many times before. Prominently displayed along the side of the building is a string of rainbow colored flags. The message seems ambiguous and always leaves me wondering, “What does their use of rainbow mean?”
However, as I looked at the church this time I heard the LORD clearly say to me, “They have stolen My rainbow. Take it back.” It didn’t take a lengthy explanation from Him for me to get it. Every time I stopped in front of this church I wondered, “What does the rainbow mean?” That in itself speaks of the ambiguity that has been inserted to what was given as a very clear statement.
Following the flood of Noah, God placed a rainbow in the sky. In Genesis chapter 9 verses 12-19 God clearly explains the significance of this sign:
“And God said: ‘This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.’ And God said to Noah, ‘This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.’“
How is it then that this very clear symbol of God’s covenant with mankind has been transformed into a symbol for diversity and specifically homosexuality? How is it that this has been so successfully propagated that the first thoughts of people are of this hijacked meaning rather than the real one? Even seeing the rainbow over a church did not provoke me to thoughts of God’s covenant. It stimulated thoughts of homosexuality. The LORD is not pleased with what has become of His rainbow. The enemy has twisted it and changed its meaning as he has with so many other things.
The LORD says, “Remember the real meaning of the rainbow. Remember to whom it belongs and to whom it was given as an everlasting sign. What was given as a sign of My mercy has been transformed into an abomination. What was meant to remind mankind of My goodness has instead become a symbol for its own evil. On this day I declare that the meaning of the rainbow has never changed nor will it. Remember My rainbow. Remember My promise. Remember My goodness. Remember Me.”
I admit, this is an extremely difficult message to share. Yet who am I to say “no” in response to any word from the LORD? So, I say, “Yes, LORD” and I hope that as you read this you will realize this is not about spreading hatred, it is about spreading truth in love.
So allow me to state simply that the LORD says the rainbow is His sign and no one will take it from Him.
God bless you all.

POSTSCRIPT:
This following Postscript was published amid comments on Facebook:
We have come into an age where what is “right” is determined by what feels good. The moral compass of society has lost true north. What’s more is that those who stand up and say, “That’s not right” are seen as intolerant, close minded and even evil (Isaiah 5:20). Those who know the truth have become so intimidated that they are akin to those who hide their lights under bushels (Matthew 5:15). Christians here in the United States in particular are on the defensive regarding cultural relativism and truth.
I too am guilty. When I heard the LORD speak the Words above into my heart, my first response was to find a reason NOT to share them. However, the Words and the One who spoke them were undeniable. Several months ago I came into agreement with the LORD when I responded to His statement to me by saying, “Yes, LORD, I will be Your voice.” Affirming this means that my words are no longer subject to my personal screening and comfort meter.
The words spoken here are as some have mentioned above. They are the truth spoken in love. As the LORD showed me some time ago, even the truth is not the truth when it is not spoken in love. It must not only contain the right words but the right heart. This is why it is important that we examine our motives before speaking. Praise God that He LOVES homosexuals. He wants nothing more than to see every man, woman and child come to repentance. That includes adulterers, thieves, liars, murderers, homosexuals, idolaters and every other variety of sinner. How the disease has been manifested (sin), is secondary to the fact that it exists, everyone has it and there is but one cure. His name is Jesus and He is God’s answer.
Now, to those who have commandeered the rainbow, I have a message. Give it back. Give it back and come into repentance. Receive God’s grace. Jesus said, “I am the way. I am the truth. I am the life.” We may want to think that we can do things our way (another way) and inherit eternal life but Jesus exposes this lie when He says, “I AM the way.” He puts to rest the argument that truth is relative when He says, “I AM the truth.” He shows those who are so desperately searching for meaning and a reason to go on to tomorrow when He says, “I AM the life.”
Allow Him to show the way to salvation. Agree with His truth in your heart and receive the gift of life. It matters far less where you are coming from than where you are going. All of that can change in a moment and this may be yours.
Thank you for all who have given their input and particularly to all of you who have shared. In order for this claim to take root it must be proclaimed. Each of us has been given an opportunity to do that on this day. God bless you!
