Excerpt from my book “ECHOES FROM EDEN…”

“…the Tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil,” Genesis 2:9.

I have always heard pastors teach so much about the tree of the knowledge of good and evil with very little or no emphasis on the tree of life. Those who even care to make reference to the Tree of Life do so within a very infinitesimal time as a passing statement while they dwell so much on the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

These two Trees are of great significance that Adam was not the one who named them but the LORD and the LORD called them by the fruits they bore and both Trees possesses great powers to give to anyone who ate of them and what they give was their nature.

The Tree of Life gives Life while the Tree of knowledge of good and evil gives death. It is pertinent to know that, these Trees were two distinct personalities and these can be seen by the personalities which appeared on them.

Adam was warned never to eat of the Tree of knowledge of good and evil but was never restricted from eating of the Tree of Life because from the very depth of the LORD’s heart, He wanted Adam to eat of the Tree of Life and this was not without a purpose, for everything God does are with a purpose.

If the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil has such power to bring death to an entire human race from Adam to all men, what power does the tree of Life possess but the power to give eternal Life to all men had Adam eaten of it?

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: {for that: or, in whom},” Romans 5:12,

I have been dwelling on the book of Genesis for many months now since the LORD inspired this book in my heart. I discovered that for us to fully grasp and comprehend the LORD’s purpose of coming, we must understand the book of Genesis.

Adam’s simple mistake caused a wide spread of death to all mankind. That’s the reason why death rules over the affairs of all men.

I believe when we begin to focus on the TREE OF LIFE we will begin to bear HIS fruit.

If Adam had eaten of that tree, mankind would have been born having ETERNAL LIFE IN HIM and would never die! More so, if Adam had eaten of that TREE OF LIFE, the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Satan) would have been long judged and sentenced to eternal blitz..

Jesus is that TREE OF LIFE in the Garden.

I think we should spend more time teaching from Him than from the tree of death!
