Somebody reading this right now, you been bruised, you been broken, you felt a sting of betrayal or even stepped out in disobedience, causing a bruise to your soul, but God wants to breathe on you right where you are.

Sometimes I know it hurts. Sometimes I know it is hard. Sometimes it gets very dark. It leaves its mark, like ashes of grief, in the deepest parts of your soul, where no one but God can really see.

There is beauty and greatness behind every mark of darkness. The ashes will fall away, they don’t stay forever, but His greatness and glory will shine through every broken place, every flaw and every struggle!

They bruised His Side with a spear. They bruised His Head with a crown of thorns. They bruised His Hands and they bruised His Feet.

Our Jesus was bruised, but arose victorious!

I have to say for me it is like Jacob, I got a limp. I had those times of wrestling and though I had a limp, it taught me to lean on Him.

I came to Jesus just as I was, weary, wounded and sad.

I found in him a resting place, an embrace like no other and now my soul is healed and free.

God saw my bruises as he sees yours and he wants to breathe that healing over you.

I hear The LORD saying, “Come unto Me all you that are burden and heavy laden.

I AM the God of Healing. I AM the God of Deliverance. I AM the Mighty God, but a bruised reed I will not break, and smoking flax I will not quench or put out.”

There is hope for you, you may have been running into walls and getting all banged up, but God wants to heal you.

Your soul may be bruised, but God wants to make it whole. It does not matter what you have done, where you come from or who you use to run with, a bruised reed he will not break for we are all precious in his sight.

I hear these words again as I conclude this, “There is HOPE!”
