There is a Testimony – in Loving!
“Love” is used so freely today, that far too many are confused by it’s meaning.
Love is far deeper than a superficial word that is often used in passing, for a moment in time… I submit that love is an action word, that must be proved by demonstration.
Jesus demonstrated His love for you, in that while you were still a sinner, while you were yet still an enemy of God, He died for you so you could be reconciled back to God.
Where sin destroyed and separated you from Him, Love has brought life, and reconnected what was severed. This love that was shown for you cost Jesus His life.
I submit to you that this love gift of grace, is not only for your own salvation, but has been given as an example of how your life needs to be lived with others.
Is it always easy to love, in every situation with every person? NO… but it is a test of character, a challenge of the will to prove to whom you belong.
What would love do? Every single one of us has been lost at some point in our lives, far from the love of God, but someone somewhere told us of the love of Jesus… Yes there is a cost to loving God and others. It will cost your time, your money, it will cost your very life.
You see, there is a dying to self that must occur before love can be born. Love costs… WILL YOU PUT JESUS FIRST, AND LOVE?
“Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God,” John 12:42-43 (KJV).
If you are a believer, you should love the praise of God MORE THAN the praise of men. You should care more about what Jesus thinks about you than men.
Remember, there is a cost to this love relationship with God. Why? Because some men are evil and unreasonable, not all have faith. You must learn to put Him first… Love must come first, love for God and love for others.
These chief rulers who believed in Jesus, who would not confess Him, allowed the fear of man to dominate their life, and this fear stopped other men from believing in Him… Remember, sin brings forth death.
Apparently, rejection because of their relationship with Jesus was too high a price to pay.
Have you been rejected because of your love for Jesus? Yes, it could cost you your position, your place of good standing in the sight of man… your reputation in others eyes.
Don’t let anything come between you and Jesus, no person, place, or thing. Make a pledge to the LORD today, that you will do your best with the help of the Holy Spirit, to not allow compromise be a part of your life, and to walk in love.
My own mother told me once, that SOMEONE IS ALWAYS WATCHING YOU. What does your living testimony say about you and your love for Jesus and others?
Let your testimony of your love for Jesus shine today, because your life and the life of someone else may be depending on your decision.
God Bless You, you are in my prayers
