The LORD’s Testimony For Us
Forgiveness came by means of a Sovereign Act!
Jesus said while on The Cross:
“Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.“ Luke 23:34
We may think we have a sovereign right to believe what we have convinced ourselves of, what we want to believe.
Even misbeliefs can sound “close enough” to the truth to seem acceptable, yet scripture says that,
“The Law came by Moses, but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ.” John 1:17
By His Own Sovereign act of obedience to the Sovereign Will of God the Father, He has purchased for us true redemption from what “seemed” good enough, so we can have the life giving, rhema truth of the Word That Was Sent.
Now we have access to what The Spirit of The LORD will reveal, as Jesus said,
“You shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
and,
“The Holy Spirit, Whom I will send, will guide you into all truth,” John 16:13
Also,
“Everything that the Father has is Mine, and The Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My Name, will take from what is Mine and show it unto you.” John 16:15
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. And we beheld His Glory, the Glory of the only begotten Son of the Father, full of Grace and Truth.” John 1:14
“I send forth My Word; it will not return to Me cancelled out. It will accomplish the purpose for which I sent it.:” Isaiah 55:11
This is the work we are called to do: to believe in Him Whom the Father has sent. And now, believing, we have Life through His Name. In Him is life, and His Life became the Light of men.
He is the Word That Was Sent, therefore hold to the testimony of Jesus.
Worship God! For His Testimony, for us, is the Spirit of Prophecy.
