“Thus says the LORD, ‘Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the LORD,'” Jeremiah 17:5.

“Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits,” Isaiah 30.

“Many will leave the cities on that day. Many will be lost in confusion.

For some had hoped that the nation would have risen to new heights. But a handful, a remnant will have known all along, that these things will come.

For surely, many of you will be left wondering why all of this has happened. You think that surely a loving God would not allow these things to happen.

You think that the strength of your arm, or your artillery would save you. You are such a foolish people! But if you would have bought salve for your eyes, then you would have known what was coming.

The words from your pulpits have not prepared you for that day, nor have the pleasing words of some of your prophets.”
