The Word of The LORD
A powerful Word of God from many years ago which The LORD brought up in my memories for today.
“And Nehemiah, who was the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to The LORD your God; do not mourn nor weep.” For all the people wept, when they heard the words of The Law.” Nehemiah 8:9.
In Nehemiah 8:9, we see that Ezra the priest read the words of scripture and the people wept.
They wept because they had not heard scripture read to them for a long time. They wept because the words cut and stabbed at their conscience until they felt remorse and wanted, needed, felt compelled to repent before The LORD.
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;” Ephesians 6:17.
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12.
We are told in Ephesians 6:17 that The Word of God is The Sword of the Spirit, and in Hebrews 4:12 that it is a two-edged sword that cuts deep into our spirit.
We know that Jesus first appears in Revelation with a two-edged sword, the Word of God, coming out of His mouth.
“He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.” Revelation 1:16.
We have seen countless evangelists using the Word of God to lead people to salvation.
Billy Graham and Reinhardt Bonnke used The Word of God to preach The Gospel — and look at the millions saved under their ministries!
Hear now what The LORD is saying to us today, “Once again, My Word shall move My People to tears.
Once again the sound of weeping will be heard throughout the land as the people hear My Words, remember the teachings of their childhood, and see how far they have fallen.
I hear you say that this is the older generations who know your teaching, yet I tell you that the young generations shall hear My Words also, and they will be cut to the quick as they realise all that they have been missing!
My Word shall once again bring many to Salvation!
My Word shall pierce hearts and trouble consciences.
My Word shall save the lost, it shall heal the sick, and it shall raise the dead.
My Word shall be a formidable weapon in the hands of an anointed evangelist, and shall produce much fruit — fruit that will last and not rot away.
I AM raising anointed evangelists, young and old, men and women, who will stand towns and cities upside down.
They will turn My People away from their sin and back to My Kingdom.
They shall use My Word as their two-edged sword and they shall start revival wherever they preach.
New Wesleys, New Wigglesworths, New Grahams and Bonnkes — I AM raising them for this generation in this Season!” says The LORD God Almighty.
“They will be hated and reviled — but they are My Anointed People for this hour.
Protect them with prayer.
Hold them up just as Aaron and Hur held Moses up.
Then no plan of the enemy shall stop them!”

Postscript
I was also reminded of the verse in Amos 8,
“Behold, the days are coming,” says The LORD God, “When I will send hunger over the land, not hunger for bread or a thirst for water, b ut rather a hunger for hearing The Words of The LORD.” Amos 8:11.
~ Chris G. Bennett
Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.
