The Wilderness Season Is Coming for Many!
The wilderness Season is coming for many!
Don’t allow whats in the wilderness to keep you from going forward into your promise land!!! (Philippians 3:14).
Just what is the wilderness season? The wilderness season is a time of both thirst and hunger.
According to the LORD, this can be a season of:
- Tough times! You will look back and say, “I wish I would have remained in the wilderness,” because God is stretching you to go forward and to do more, but the giants in your life have you paralyzed to remain in the wilderness.
- Killing of the flesh.
- Time of trials and pressures to obey or to disobey.
- Time of relying and depending upon God for your comfort and help.
- A place of humility and stripping.
- A time of isolation and barrenness.
- A time when the flesh wants prosperity and to be nourished and no suffering.
- Time of discomfort.
- Time spent in the presence of the LORD,
- And, It does not necessarily qualify for a person who is accused of sinning, but is a time of testing, pruning, and proving.
- This type of wilderness is God ordained based upon His divine will.
A good example of this, is that the LORD spoke to me about when Moses went up in the mountain to spend time with God.
“As Moses went up unto God and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.
For, you see the LORD reminded Moses of what He had done in time past how He brought the people out of bondage.
And, He said to Moses now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: and ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation.
He said to him, these are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the Lord commanded him. And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord .
And the Lord said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord. One thing a good shepherd will do is they will use their time wisely in the wilderness to advocate for the people getting words of comfort in order to help God’s people and they will also spend time in the face of God talking to God regarding the needs and the concerns of God’s people as Moses did! And as the man of God went back the Lord said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, and be ready against the third day: for the third day the Lord will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: there shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes,” Exodus 19:3-14 KJV.
Every now and then leaders need to take time out to evaluate and to regroup to hear what it is like Moses did what God is saying for His people as a whole!
For many are only hearing God from a place of the flesh, the mind and their soul-ish spirit, but if the leaders are really to get prophetic directions and instructions from the LORD in this season they are going to have to come into the inner courts under the veil as Moses did!
“When Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, Moses knew not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Aaron. And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid
(Why? Because of the glory that shone upon his face; Something they could not comprehend or understand) to come nigh him.
And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them. And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment (not what Moses thought the people needed but what the Lord had shared with him during his time in the wilderness) all that the Lord had spoken with him in mount Sinai.
And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face. But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded,” Exodus 34:29-34 KJV.
I believe that the LORD is saying that in this season many are going to spend time in the wilderness as Moses, and Jesus did.
Jesus also spent time in the wilderness for 40 days and he stayed there until the angels had to care for him.
Talking about this wilderness experience Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And, after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
Not, only was He hungry and weak but guess who showed up: The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
People, while you are in the wilderness Satan will not come once but like Christ he may show up numerous times to try to stop you from your divine destiny.
But, Jesus being prepared answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on EVERY WORD that comes from the mouth of God.”
This wilderness season is also a time of preparation and consecration for those whom God is getting ready to exalt into a great realm of authority and power as Jesus would be.
Had Jesus given into Satan and listen to him, He would have missed His divine destiny to save a world from sin and brought salvation to mankind!
While, you are in your wilderness season don’t forget why God has you there because like Christ your wilderness season is tied to Somebodies deliverance!
Moses’ wilderness season was tied to the children of Israel to bring them out of the wilderness into their promise land but many of the people remained in the wilderness wandering 40-years because of their disobedience and only some of their children were allowed to go over to the promise land!
And not to mention Moses and Aaron who was called to lead the people out of the wilderness became so vexed with the people that even they missed out on the good land!
