The Wilderness of Submission
“Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is counted as a forest. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places,” Isaiah 32:15-18, NKJV.
“My child, you have been waiting and you feel the strain of human impulse to act when I say abide in Patience.
This is the wilderness of submission you are walking through. Will you follow Me or will you strike out on your own?
In the wilderness of submission frustration creeps in on silent paws. It begins to poke and accuse you of missing the hour of your visitation.
It chides you and points to the successes of others laughing at your supposed failings.
In the wilderness of submission you are to learn how to fight with Patience to defeat the attacks of the dark one and his minions.
He comes to cloud your mind. He comes to put a stopwatch on you to make you think you have missed the mark and will be found wanting in My eyes.
Remember, he is a liar! The father of lies speaks only deceitful words. He comes to mock and to destroy.
Remember, I AM HE Who loves you. I come to bring an abundant and prosperous life. I have placed My Spirit in you. I abide in you. Why would I ever forsake you?
The wilderness of submission seems to be a very dry and desolate place. You thirst but there seems to be nothing to quench it.
Your spiritual thirst is to drive you deeper into My Word. That is where the wells of Living Waters are to be found.
As you walk through this wilderness I AM ever with you. If you stumble, then I pick you up. I AM guiding your steps and drawing you closer and closer to My heart.
This is a spiritual journey into the depth of your soul (inner man). As you pass through this wilderness and allow Patience to work the soil of your heart, a miracle happens.
Yes, this desolate place begins to bloom with fields of flowers. Streams bubble up and the land is watered.
The Light of My Presence brings fullness of joy. You no longer are striving within yourself but are resting in PEACE: Resting in Me.
I AM LORD of Time. Be not anxious for you have not missed your visitation. In this wilderness of submission you have grown up and are becoming more and more conformed to My image.
Rejoice. Be glad. The desolate land has become a fertile field. I come to receive the fruit of My work in you.
I release My blessings and showers of grace and love over you and yours this day. Shalom.”
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
“And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus,” Philippians 4:6-7, AMPC.
