The Weapons of Our Warfare Are Not Carnal!
Here is the word in print that I shared on Facebook today on video (below) without the spontaneous prayer and words at the end.
The Weapons of Our Warfare Are Not Carnal!
When I woke up this morning the first thing that I heard from The LORD upon waking was, “Remember, you are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and the rulers of the darkness of this age.
This battle will not be won with carnal weapons but on your knees!”
Then as I was praying about this and pondering what The LORD said, He said this to me out of Nehemiah 4:14,
“Be not ye afraid of them: remember The LORD, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.”
As we look at what is going on in the world right now in the news and elsewhere, we as Christians tend to want to get up and fight in the natural. I know I do!
I sometimes can not even grasp the mindsets of the people, who are wanting to kill innocent children even after they have come out of the womb or have no respect for our country and it’s leaders!
I know that it is a spiritual war, but we tend to want to fight it out in the natural anyway.
But I believe that today God is calling us to a different standard as the body of Christ if we are to ever see the victory in our world!
This Is How You Fight Your Battle
“No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of [civilian] life; his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him. And if anyone enters competitive games, he is not crowned unless he competes lawfully (fairly, according to the rules laid down),” 2 Timothy 2:4-5 (AMPC).
“Yes, it is absolutely time for the Body of Christ to fight, but it will be how strategic will they be and what will be the weapons that they use to win this battle?”
Our weapons are not carnal, but mighty through God!
God said, “it is time to fight for what I have given you! You have given into getting down on the enemies level and that will never bring the victory!”
Then he began to reiterate the weapons that we have to use and said, “You must use these weapons, because they are my weapons of warfare. This is how you fight your battle!”
1. You must fight in the opposite spirit!
If someone is coming at you in hate then you must love. If someone is bringing confusion you must bring peace to the battle etc.
Think before you make you move, “What weapon must I use to fight this spirit?” and then deliberately move in that realm.
Fighting in the opposite Spirit will neutralize the enemies attacks!”
2. Praise, praise praise, and worship!
“And when they began to sing and to praise, The LORD set ambushments against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir who had come against Judah, and they were [self-] slaughtered,” 2 Chronicles 20:22.
David learned this when he tended the sheep, that as he worshipped God with his harp he could overcome the lion and the bear!
So when he became King he established the tabernacle of David and appointed singers and musicians to praise The LORD 24/7 and it caused them to win every battle!
There are many examples of this in His word.
“It is time to begin to enter My rest and praise me for what is already finished when I shed My blood for you!
Come into agreement with Me and worship like you believe it. This lets the enemy know that you believe it and he begins to be in confusion and will then turn on himself!”
3. Pray in the Spirit!
“Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people),” Ephesians 6:8.
I just can’t say enough about this amazing weapon!
When you pray in the Spirit you are praying the will perfect will of God and not only that, you are praying in perfect faith because you are no longer trusting what is in your own carnal mind to pray but you are trusting God (the Holy Spirit) to pray what He wants to pray through you!
It is a win win prayer! It also causes you to enter into a rest.
“For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people, to whom He said, “This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest,” and, “This is the refreshing”; Yet they would not hear,” Isaiah 28:11-12 (NKJV).
I once heard Gloria Copeland say that once she began to pray in the Spirit an hour a day, that it completely changed her Spiritual life.
I know this will change circumstances quickly! I have seen it many times in my walk.
My own mother prayed for us kids for 27 years but once she was baptised in the Holy Spirit and began to pray in tongues then we all came to The LORD within a month or two.
Amazing weapon! It is time to use it again if you are not!
4. Joy!
“….Do not sorrow, for the joy of The LORD is your strength,” Nehemiah 8:10 (NKJV).
If you do not have joy then you do not have any strength, period!
The enemy will try and bring oppression and depression to the intercessor, because it takes their strength.
I know that you know what I am talking about! Whenever I am depressed and let my mind slip off into the negative, it always brings depression and oppression and let me tell you those are spirit’s that have to be counteracted with the Joy of The LORD!
“But where do I get that joy?” you might ask. Let me give you the little formula that God gave to me. Here it is:
He said to me once. “If I inhabit the praises of My People, and in My Presence is fullness of joy, and the joy of The LORD is your strength, then praise = joy.
When you praise Me, the enemy melts like wax at My Presence and has to flee! So Praise = no enemy!”
In Psalm 8:2 it says,
“Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants you have ordained strength, because of Your enemies, that You may silence the enemy and the avenger.”
The LORD quoted this verse again when the Pharisees tried to stop His disciples from worshiping Him when He rode into town on the donkey, on what we now call Palm Sunday.
In Matthew 21:16 He said ,
“Do You hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?”
So you see when Jesus quoted that he used the word praise instead of strength.
So strength and praise are synonymous according to Jesus!
And joy comes as He inhabits your praises, therefore it is your strength!
Nothing else will snap you out of a pity party like praising God for who He is and what He has done!
It will bring the Joy that is truly your weapon!
5. The Word of God!
In Ephesians 6, the Armor of God which it says we must put on, when broken down, all comes back to the Word of God.
We must be armed with His Word and use it.
The Word is our Sword of the Spirit!
It is the only legal thing that we have against the enemy’s attacks.
Jesus died and shed His Blood as a covenant for us and made His Word or His new will and testament binding for those who will receive him and believe it.
His Word is our document to hold up before the devil and say, “I have a covenant with the LORD and you can’t have my stuff!! You can’t have my children! You can’t have my health! You can’t have what Jesus died and left me!!!”
The enemy knows this, but wants to see if you believe it so that is what in Ephesians 6 it says to “stand therefore, having your loins (your reproductive parts) gird about with truth.”
What truth? The truth of God’s Word! It will not break down.
it says in Hebrews 6:18-19 (AMPC),
“This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before us. Now we have this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it — a hope that reaches farther and enters into the very certainty of the Presence within the veil…..”
So, I know this is long and that many of you are thinking of more legal weapons that we have, but truly these are some of our greatest legal weapons that God has given us.
I hear Him saying, “It is time to put on the full Armor of God!
Stop trying to fight the enemy on his ground! You must pull him over into your territory, which is the realm of the Kingdom and it’s authority that has been given to you, My warriors!
You cannot win operating in the enemy’s camp!
The weapons of your warfare are not carnal but mighty through your God to the pulling down of strongholds!
War lawfully by the rules of engagement that has been laid out in my word and if you do, victory shall be yours!
You will triumph in the earth and you will gain ground! I have already won this battle so as you live and move and have your being in Me and My way of doing battle, you will also be more than conquerors!”
Hallelujah!
The Whole Armor of God
“10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the LORD and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak,” Ephesians 6:10-20.
