The Washing of Feet
Saints of God, as we continue with the Father’s Grace into this New Year, let us recognize God’s mighty work in our midst, causing us to have a hunger and thirst for righteousness.
God has me heralding Hebrews 12:14, that we’re to pursue peace with others and holiness, without which we won’t see God.
Interestingly enough, last night I had a Dream, and I felt led to share it with you; it is pertinent to the message of recognizing the world, that’s been in your midst.
In the Dream, I was cleaning out a closet, and so much activity was occurring, as I was in this big house, and others would come in and out.
One of the people came in, knowing that I was there, and was ice cold towards me. They believed I had been a certain way, convinced in their heart, and had hatred towards me.
I kept trying to pursue peace with them, encouraging them that it was a lie of Satan, and I had done the exact opposite of what they were accusing me of.
Suddenly, some of their friends came in, and they too were being cold towards me, seething in hatred.
I kept trying to get encouragement from others, only to no avail, and was so discouraged.
The scene changes and I’m at a worship service and take my shoes off and notice that my feet need washing, and I’m embarrassed, but don’t hide that I need to wash my feet.
I was the only one who had taken my shoes off and others kept their feet covered, wearing shoes.
The scene shifts back to the house. Then to my surprise, a woman comes in and says, “let me wash your feet.”
Embarrassed about my feet, she makes no big to do, and simply covers me with love and grace.
Then I’m caught up in a room with all these fragrances in the house, picking out perfumes, and these clothes that I had in my closet that are stunning. Immediately, I’m taken into this ancient city, jubilant and full of joy, activities, and preparation.
In saying all of that, God has me teaching for last couple of years from writing my new book “The Forbidden Fruit, the Spiritual Disease,” that the world is in The Church and we’re clueless.
I’m not saying it’s to this percentage, but to give you an idea of the deception, it would be like 85 – 90 percent of the people in The Church have no clue that the world is in them, and they have spots and blemishes.
I’ve been fasting and praying and seeking God at the beginning of this year, starting it out with Hebrews 12:14, saying that the two signs of us moving forward in Christ is that we pursue peace with others and holiness, without which no one will see God.
The washing of feet was the practice Jesus told us to keep, as at the Last Supper, where He washed the disciples feet.
The dirt on the feet, is walking through this world, that it not attach itself to us, but we stay in a lifestyle of Christianity, constantly consecrating our body, cleansing our garments of the filth of the world.
So many people have covetousness in their heart and don’t know it.
Covetousness is the pride of life, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes.
Please repent saints, seek God!
God bless!
“Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14 AMPC
“For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly things] — these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself].” 1 John 2:16 AMPC
“[Now] before the Passover Feast began, Jesus knew (was fully aware) that the time had come for Him to leave this world and return to the Father. And as He had loved those who were His own in the world, He loved them to the last and to the highest degree. So [it was] during supper, Satan having already put the thought of betraying Jesus in the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, [That] Jesus, knowing (fully aware) that the Father had put everything into His hands, and that He had come from God and was [now] returning to God, got up from supper, took off His garments, and taking a [servant’s] towel, He fastened it around His waist. Then He poured water into the washbasin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the [servant’s] towel with which He was girded. When He came to Simon Peter, [Peter] said to Him, Lord, are my feet to be washed by You? [Is it for You to wash my feet?] Jesus said to him, You do not understand now what I am doing, but you will understand later on. Peter said to Him, You shall never wash my feet! Jesus answered him, Unless I wash you, you have no part with ([in) Me [you have no share in companionship with Me]. Simon Peter said to Him, Lord, [wash] not only my feet, but my hands and my head too! Jesus said to him, Anyone who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is clean all over. And you [My disciples] are clean, but not all of you. For He knew who was going to betray Him; that was the reason He said, Not all of you are clean. So when He had finished washing their feet and had put on His garments and had sat down again, He said to them, Do you understand what I have done to you? You call Me the Teacher (Master) and the Lord, and you are right in doing so, for that is what I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher (Master), have washed your feet, you ought [it is your duty, you are under obligation, you owe it] to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you this as an example, so that you should do [in your turn] what I have done to you. I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his master, and no one who is sent is superior to the one who sent him. If you know these things, blessed and happy and to be envied are you if you practice them [if you act accordingly and really do them].” John 13:1-17 AMPC
