The Waiting Room Of God!
I seldom share Words that were in my memories, unless God leads me to do it strongly.
This is one of those times, for He spoke to me that several needed this today.
So I pray it reaches into the innermost part of your being and helps you during your wait.
That waiting room of God is full right now, but the wait will soon be over as the promises manifest and those doors that seemed dead bolted fly open wide in Jesus’ mighty name.
Be blessed!
“The Waiting Room Of God!”
I know I can say with certainty today that I am not sitting alone in the waiting room of God.
I see it as this carpeted, white-walled corridor, with many doors on both sides, that all are shut.
We have rattled all the handles, knocked, and shouted through the keyholes to no avail.
There is nothing to do, but wait. Then of course, our minds begin to wonder as we wait, “What did we do wrong to end up in this place? Did we miss something along the way?”
We have wept, repented, and ranted!
After a while, God speaks to us with such reassurance. It seemed all good and made us feel better, but yet we still get up and try those handles to the doors one more time.
They still remain shut! Then one of the doors open just a crack, with a glimmer of light and we hold our breath.
We think “Could this be it?”
Doors were finally going to start swinging open again. We walk slowly up to the door and look through expectantly.
Our hearts beat a little bit faster. Then the door slams shut with the sound of a locked dead bolt on the other end.
Well, if we must wait, why not sing some songs for a little hope in the back of our heart.
What if we stopped waiting for the doors to open… they might just open. Do you think?
Nope, the doors did not call our bluff or take notice. They still remained shut! While we wait, the Father speaks encouragement to our hearts and blows relentlessly on the embers of hope.
You hear of doors opening for others, but yet here we are flat on our back staring at ceiling wondering if God really wanted to open this door, then why won’t He do it.
As for me, one thing I learned is our times of waiting is not due to our failures, it is a vital season in our lives.
In the waiting seasons, our flesh fails, our self-effort weakens, our self-reliance fades. We get so hungry for God!
Of course, the temptation is to give up hope, to cannibalize our own dreams.
Even when there seems no open door is there, continue to wait for eventually the gate shall swing open and you receive the spoils of a war you haven’t fought.
Our enemy is a defeated foe. He has already lost.
When you are in a season where the doors fling open i have to say, it is wonderful, but we can so easily start to run through them in our own strength, to start to believe it is because of something we have done is the reason that the doors open.
The battle is to learn how to rest and allow God to put the heat on the enemy.
God doesn’t need our strength – He is Almighty God. He needs our weakness and our trust.
It is easy to trust when all the doors are flinging wide open. What about when they are not?
That is when trust can go deep. He wants our eyes to be fixed on Him with expectation, even when there are no signs of life.
He stretches us in the waiting, like a pregnant woman’s skin stretches so she can contain the growing baby. He stretches us so we can contain more of Him.
I have to say my Brothers and Sisters that I am in this waiting room with you.
I watch that door expectantly for what I am praying for.
So let us exchange our toils (self-effort) for the spoils of war. There is an enemy camp to be plundered if only we will wait on God to move.
When you least expect it, you will hear the sweet whisper of the Father say, “Try that door handle one more time.”
When you do, that door will spring open and what you been praying and waiting for will be on the other side.

Thank you so much for this post…I really needed to hear it and know that I was not alone.
Oh my, I don’t even know how to say Thank-You for this post.
You were able to capture the essence of what I’be been going through for quite some time. I haven’t been able to even understand the why of the events that have taken place. I’ve often felt as though my flaws and failures have prevented me from moving forward into the call that God has on my life. God knows that I love him but, I haven’t been able to get where I’m supposed to be . My husband and I haven’t been on one accord in the direction of the Kingdom work God has in store. I wait because we’ve gone in separate directions before and ended up in disaster!
I ask that those reading would pray that we become One! He feels that he missed out on what God has because we’re older and the enemy has said it’s too late. I don’t know how to assure him that God is sovereign! He alone is God and God alone!
After leaving a ministry because he felt there was no place for him.. I’m feeling like a wandering child without knowing the place for us ..Together.
I’m really in the Waiting Room!
Oh my. I could have written this myself. Thank you so much. Very encouraging that I’m not the only one.
Thank you dear sister for sharing this crucial message.
I knew it all along, but its like my faith was going down, now the message has come alive again…

May the Lord bless you, Sister Dana, for posting the article. It is very difficult waiting, and it is what we do in the “waiting.” I have really been challenged in many ways in the thinking process, and this is where Focus, Hope and Trust come in! I am grateful to our Heavenly Father in teaching us, me rather, while we wait! Though He tarry, He will appear!
Thank you!! Amen..I needed that word today!! God bless you!!
Amen!! With you sister! Let us expect BIG things from our BIG God in Christ!
Bless you, dear sister. I couldn’t have said it better (^_^)
Awesome powerful promise
Amen and Amen!!!!
I’ve dreamed and saw a row of many locked windows dreamed of waiting in line at a stage show person at window handed me a ticket and I wondered why it was taking so long the doors were closed .He said because they are taking names now and before they weren’t I believe God is setting the stage for the greatest show on earth and those that have been waiting are going to be given ‘the ticket’ those that have been not only called but choosen The wait and the pain will be worth it I saw a big stone fireplace and a man angry having to break it down behind it was a framework for a door. I believe God is making the enemy tear down his strongholds and lies that has hidden or blinded us from seeing the doors to begin with and the enemy is angry and scared This seemingly endless onslaught of the enemy for some I consider it to be his last kick at the can , his farewell party and his parting gifts. He has lost and he knows it! I am excited and this is coming from someone who’s health right now is held together by God and a lot of meds in need of finances and whos son is in intensive care who God miracacouly saved his life and mine. thank you Jesus
