4:00 a.m. Bible Study and Prayer Time

“And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly; and delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds)” 2 Peter 2:6-8.

What Is Being Vexed?

The LORD had me look up the word VEXED and in the Greek it means; to tire down with toil, exhaust with labor; hence, to afflict or oppress with evils; to make trouble for; to treat roughly:

The word BEHAVIOR here in the Greek is; manner of life, behavior, conduct

And the word SOUL here is; Psyche, soul (58x), life (40x), mind. It is also the will and emotions.

Lot Wore Down His Mind Will and Emotions

In other words, Lot daily tore down and exhausted his mind, will and emotions with toil and labor which brought oppression to him.

All of the sin that he rubbed noses with on a daily basis in Sodom and Gomorrah.

All of the sounds, sights and feelings of the sin in those cities wore his mind, will and emotions down, and he became oppressed by it.

I am here to submit to many of you, that because of the sinful things that you see and are around on a daily basis, things like Lot saw and heard, things that you cannot get away from, things that are vexing your soul and probably the soul of your loved ones, that there is a way of escape!

The Bible says in Genesis 19:29 (AMPC),

“When God ravaged and destroyed the cities of the plain of Siddim, He earnestly remembered Abraham imprinted and fixed him indelibly on His mind, and He sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow when He overthrew the cities where Lot lived.”

You see, we or a loved one, may have been made righteous by the Blood of the Lamb, but we or they may be in situations that are causing them to vex their soul daily with wickedness. It may be as little as the stuff we or they see on television, or what we or they see and hear at work etc…

It’s the stuff we can’t get away from on a daily basis!

But the word says also in 2 Peter 2:9 that.

“The LORD knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:”

There IS a Way!

He is saying today, that He knows how to get you and your loved ones out of the mess that they are in, if we will stand before Him as Abraham did and pray and intercede on their behalves!

He knows how to get our own soul out of some things that we have allowed to come in and oppress us and them with!

He sees the bruises on our mind will and emotions, but as we turn to him in prayer He will either keep us in the midst and heal our mind will and emotions or He will deliver us from some of it by making a way of escape.

Remember that He is your hiding place! And remember that when your heart is overwhelmed, that He is your rock!

The Shaking as You Pray

There is so much oppression going on right now among Christians and their loved ones, but we have been standing for us and them, to be delivered and set free!

Like God did when Abraham prayed, we are seeing the destruction of many evil institutions in the world, but God will not allow the righteous to go down with them!

He has and is hearing our prayers for ourselves and our loved ones!

The destruction many times is God answering our prayers and shaking all that can be shaken and He is bringing many of us out of these sinful, evil institutions and environments!

His deliverance for us and our families is happening as we speak but we must continue to pray and speak and decree until the Angels of God have gotten everyone out safe!

Until all of them are delivered and set free!

Pray This Prayer Today!

If you are VEXED in your soul today, or if you have loved ones who are, and you have claimed them for the Kingdom, pray this prayer with me today and fill in the blanks with your name or your loved ones.

LORD, you know the place that _______ is in today.

You see it all and know the evil that _______ has to be around on a daily basis to just be in this world.

But God, You said in Your Word that me and my household shall be saved!

You said that you would show _______ the way of escape!

You said that the seed of the righteous shall be delivered and set free!

You said that _______ shall come again from the land of the enemy!

Thank you LORD, that you will perfect that which concerns _______.

Thank you that you will restore mine and their soul!

Thank you that if we make our bed in hell, behold, you are there and you will rescue us.

LORD, you said that a bruised reed, you will not break and that me and my family shall be far from oppression!

I thank you for your love and mercy on me and My family!

I praise you for restoration and deliverance! In Jesus’ mighty Name!
