The Upcoming Passover: Is There A Surprise Coming?
The Upcoming Passover,
The Israel Peace Plan and The Elections:
Is There A Surprise Coming?
Passover is this weekend, and the elections of the Israel Government has just been decided, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu winning the office again for fifth time.
A peace plan for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is about to be announced very soon and it seems like it is a plan that is going to be put in place no matter what the Palestinian side says.
The Notre Dame Cathedral that has been standing for more than 800 years has caught on fire, with its spire consumed by the flames. Interestingly enough, Jesus’ Crown of Thorns was saved as well as other artifacts.
This is the eighth year in a row that the Sanhedrin is doing a Passover sacrifice near or on Temple Mount, but this year is the closest to reenacting the real deal in the last 2000 years.
This is the 46th year since the Yom Kippur War, a war that occurred on the Day of Atonement, that was quite interesting because a sizable amount of land was returned back to the people of Israel, as if it was a year of 50-year Day of Atonement Jubilee.
This Day of Atonement Jubilee has never been observed historically, but the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob established it with Moses according to Leviticus 25.
He knows to the day what day is this in the world’s timeline, and it is possible that He Himself is observing despite the failure of His people to do so back then and even now.
No matter what one believes about Christian Zionism and Zionism, God Himself has allowed the establishment of Israel in 1948, and that is a fulfillment of prophesy and that these fulfillments of prophecies will come at the appointed time with or without Zionists and their affiliates.
But that does not mean that we should be the ones who allow the Beast to rise into power, but if you think about it, anyone could be guilty of this.
What if he deceives the whole world so good that Christians think he’s one of us?
So good that we would only find out when he profanes the Third Temple and calls himself God?
And by that time, most of us would have been taken away in harpazo, but maybe some of us would have been the very ones who cause him to be in power, or the very ones who helped build the technology, or the very ones who champion his causes because we thought he’s on our side?
Julian Assange is no longer under the protection of the Ecuadorian government and the Venezuela crisis is not getting better.
North Korea is not being talked about right now, but this does not seem to progress either.
And what about HuaWei? And tons of disasters around, and no one’s really blowing the trumpets right now.
Is Jesus coming or not?
The short answer is yes, He is coming back. He promised this 2000 years ago and He wants us to remind His people that He is coming back as King.
But does that mean He is returning tomorrow? Maybe yes and maybe not. The Bible is clear that only the Father knows when this is going to happen. Even Jesus does not know, let alone any prophet.
The first rule of Christian Eschatology is not to date set, because none of us knows. Only the Father does.
He said over and over that He will be coming like a thief. And for this warning we need to be all the more loving and encouraging one another to remind and spread the Good News of His Salvation.
The point that Jesus wants us to be reminded over and over about His Coming for generations and for 2000 years is probably the same reason that God told Noah to preach about the Flood for a hundred years before it happened, and all the while building an ark.
Jesus said just like in the days of Noah and Lot, others will respond to this message critically and scoffing off the message of the Return of Jesus.
Interestingly enough, it is only in this generation now that several arks and replicas of Noah’s ark have been completed and therefore, would allow our days to be really like the days of Noah (do we need to check more items to qualify our days as the days of Noah?) and we need to consider closely what Jesus said about those days.
That just like in the days of Noah, people would go about their business by marrying and giving themselves to marriage and other everyday things, which is not bad or wrong or sinful, but that we are normalizing this events and we are seeing them as everyday events.
Researchers are beginning to find that everyday Americans and others globally are starting to normalize events like tornadoes where there had never been tornadoes in recorded history, or mass shootings or acts of terrorism, or natural disasters that are not supposed to be occurring in an area, and other rare phenomena.
This is an indicator that we are in the days of Noah, where the unusual is considered as ordinary and we are normalizing extraordinary phenomenon. Interestingly enough, such normalizing attitude is followed by the modern society’s normalizing attitude of sinful behaviors and lifestyles such as LGBT and abortion, just like the sins of the people during Noah’s time and the sins of the people during Lot’s time.
Unfortunately, we have come upon a time when we are seeing people normalizing the sins of abortion, LGBT lifestyles, pornography, promiscuity, and other sinful behaviors. What follows after that is not going to be pretty.
What is going to happen?
Will there be a war?
Will there be a sinister peace?
We should always remember that no matter what happens, as long as we belong to Jesus, He is our Savior and Lord, and therefore we can always rely on His Blood to receive His grace and mercy in any situation we find ourselves in, except when one accepts the Mark of the Beast.
There is something spiritual that is involved in the acceptance of the Mark that will bar a person from salvation.
Unfortunately, there will be those who are not saved and accept this mark and will never have eternal life.
In order that we, the people of God can be a part of God’s Great Commission to increase the number of those who are saved and harpazo’d as opposed the number who has to stay and accept the mark we can only pray for them, spread the love of Jesus to them and speak to them about their need for Jesus.
Because God is a God who honors all of our individual freewill, that’s all that we can do, and we have to trust God with the rest, because He is the One who is the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY and the ALPHA & OMEGA.
We would just have to keep watch and wait patiently for the Return of our King while honoring His Word and extend His love to those who are yet to belong to Jesus. We should never underestimate the extent of Jesus’ sacrifice for the world and neither should we limit His love.
Jesus’ love is so good. It is so good that you can extend it to others. If you have not found yourself in a place where you can forgive your enemies like Jesus did, or where you cannot turn the other cheek or walk the extra mile, it does not mean that you are not saved or God does not love you. It just means that the blindness of our hearts have not allowed the overwhelming love of Jesus to penetrate us to the innermost depths of ourselves like He did for Paul, John and Daniel.
Although this is not about salvation, it is about the difference between the man who was crucified next to Jesus and believed Him, and was taken to Heaven with Him and Paul, who was changed wholly by the message of the Cross, and to love Jesus wholeheartedly and yet knows how to love others and chastise others accordingly.
The man on the cross would always be remembered as the man on the cross, while Paul will always be remembered as one of the greatest apostles of all time in Christian history.
If the man on the cross is one end of the spectrum and Paul is on the other, where would you like to be?
Would you like to be more like the man on the cross, using all of the grace God gave Him just to enter Heaven, or to would you like to be more like Paul, using the grace of Jesus to turn the world upside down, just like his Lord, our Lord – Jesus Christ is doing?
Of course, not everyone is called to be like Paul, and not everyone is called to turn the world upside down through writing to churches, but you and I are called to turn the world upside down.
We are to bring the Good News of Jesus to the world, and that can be done in many different ways, because God is so good and He does not want to bore us to death.
It means that some of us are going to be called to other countries and other continents and some of us are going to be called to work with those who do not know Jesus and proclaim the good news to them in our conduct and speech.
It means that we can welcome that new international student or help out with the different ministries in the city or help out people in need at your church.
It means praying for your loved ones and neighbors who don’t belong to Jesus and praying for your brothers and sisters in Christ so they maybe strengthened to evangelize.
It means to surrender to God our hearts and lives to Him so we may serve Him fully and glorify Him in everything that we do even in the mundane day to day tasks and chores.
The more we focus on Jesus, the more our lives will be reigned by Jesus. And this goes the other way round too. The more we focus on things other than Jesus, the more these other things will reign over our lives.
Therefore, as the return of our Lord approaches we need to be ever more in love with Him, so we may not miss out on the calling He has for us as this chance and opportunity that He has given is all that we have in this lifetime.
Once Jesus returns things will be turned around permanently and there will be no going back.
Just like Paul has instructed, we need to run this race as best as we can until the Day itself is here or for some of us, until we see Jesus face to face through death.
In this way, we will indeed be revealed at the last as the sons of God and be able to be called more than conquerors under the banner of Jesus who is our King of kings and Lord of lords.
