“Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: but the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.” James 3:5-8.

Learn to control your tongue. Learn to have your speech under the control of The Holy Spirit.

The tongue is a mighty member; it boasts of many things, even though it is very small.

A great ship can be controlled by a rudder. There are very small things in this life that have a lot of power. Your lives can easily be directed in one way or another by your speech.

An entire building can be demolished by a crane, and yet the tongue even though it is so small, can guide an entire person’s life.

“Learn to control your speech, My People. Learn to choose your words carefully. Learn to be wise in your speech. Learn to gather the choicest words as one would gather beautiful rocks.”
