The Tithe
In The Law, nearly every offering was a tenth or multiple of tens so a principle was stated that a tenth belonged to God, given to Him or to others as He commanded it.
It was called a tithe or tenth.
It was a practice before the The Law was given (Genesis 14:20) and all The Law did was to make it official.
The Law was not removed by Calvary, but was only fulfilled in parts or modified by Jesus or negated specifically by Jesus through His death (ceremonial, religious, sacrificial) (see the dream of Peter Acts 10:9ff where all food was declared clean).
This means that the principles of The Law still apply, so that tithing is still a requirement of God.
According to Matthew 6:33, God will always give you what you need to be able to tithe and give your money in the way He desires it given either to Him or others.
The Tithe is given to God and not to a Church or denomination, unless God says to give it to them, and may be given to two or more sources, so you need to ask God how He desires it given.
This is just an extension of the principle that we are only stewards and not owners of what God has given us or allowed us to have.
Jesus has taken people to hell and shown people people in hell who knew to tithe, but did not do so and so disobeyed God and are there because they did not repent.
“And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand,” Genesis 14:20.
“But seek first The Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you,” Matthew 6:33.

Beautiful. Thank you brother.
I recently stopped giving money to the church and now tithe to missions trips to spread Jesus and feed the poor. I also tithe to a deliverance ministry.
I don’t feel comfortable anymore giving money to a church so they can spend it on coffee and stage designs.
you give what God says to give and ignore what others say
Yes. Thanks.
