The Subtlety of Seduction

I promised I would share some of the downloads that I received from the Lord. The Lord talked about how subtle the spirit of seduction is, and how it has crept into the church big time. This is not new but the scripture says that in the last days some would depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, (1 Timothy 4:1).

The word seduce literally means to draw aside or to entice one from the path of rectitude. (one example was flattery, but mocking works also). Another definition says, to promise or bribe, to tempt and to lead to iniquity, to corrupt, to deprave. Another says to entice one to surrender their chastity, a persuasion that leads away chase behavior. To depart from one’s faith.

We must guard ourselves from words, images, pictures that would try to seduce us away from His word, our faith and belief in the things of God. Things that will come to occupy our minds, our time, our purity and they can taint and draw us aside from where we need to be focused. They can pollute our streams and water down truth and what we believe. Watch flattery. An encouraging word is always good. But don’t look to eat from the table of flattery.

Stay in the peace of His word which is able to keep us, strengthen us, exhort us, build us and comfort us. So that we won’t be frustrated when our flesh wants us to write a check that God is not cashing. The enemy is using high tech ways and high tech people to do his work. Stay saturated in His presence. Praising God, being grateful for all that God has done (no matter what). Read and hear His word (it is always talking to us) and share what God gives to you with others.

Notice I said us . . . . . that is me included. (the one who writes a word must be subject to it first.) On Facebook there is seduction. I can only look at in small doses. (which is why I sometimes miss some things that do matter to me.)

“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded,” James 4:7-8.

Timing

My last 30+ hours were a blast!!! Sometimes you have to get away without hopping on a plane because you only have a minute to get away and then the Lord steps in. . and does awesome things in a moment’s notice.

So I left home and spent the night away, fellowshipped and worshipped with friends. Laughed and prayed. Slept like I went to heaven and back. Didn’t answer my phone. Received several downloads from the Lord and several other little miracles happened along the way. All in a short span of hours.

Don’t tell me what God won’t do for us. We pray, seek the Lord, study, work, serve and love upon others with all our hearts. The Lord sees and He knows. I will be sharing some of the richness of His words of wisdom concerning His people.

He said, “Tell my people to be on guard not to make Ismael decisions in an Isaac season.” There are things that we want and there are things that we need. In the right time we can have both but there is an order about everything and the arm of the flesh must be brought into subjection.

If not, we as His people can compromise great destiny. Just because the flesh cries out to be satisfied, it must be set in order (that is a necessary process) if not, after the promise there could be trouble on the horizon. This will make more sense later this week. Some are ready now, others are not quite ready yet. Better to be ready than sorrowful later.

Timings are definitely of the Lord for He knows all things. The Good news is that God can do a quick work and cut it short in righteousness.
